Billy uninstalled my old dishwasher, which was hard wired to the electricity and left it outside my property. Once the new dishwasher was delivered outside my property, he came back and installed it. As I was getting the old dishwasher recycled via the company supplying the new dishwasher, it was important to me that Billy took out the old dishwasher before the new one arrived. He agreed times in advance and was very reliable, and he carried out a good job. As this was during the Covid19 lockdown, Billy wore a protective mask and gloves. I would recommend him.

Billy installed a new dishwasher. He got back by text really quickly and asked for confirmation that you’d got his texts so everyone knew what you as going on! Would definitely use again.

We cannot praise Billy enough. During these challenging times of Coronavirus, Billy came to our rescue. You see, we live in Switzerland, and my mother-in-law in Edinburgh. My mother-in-law's washing machine started making an awful noise and not spinning properly. So step 1, reach out to Billy (having found him on this site with great reviews). After discussion with him we decided to look for a new machine. Step 2, Billy went and disconnected the old machine, and then when the new machine was delivered he went back (the same day) and installed it (step 3). He went over an above in helping mum and we cannot thank him enough. He was reliable, efficient, caring and given he was dealing with an unusual situation extremely adaptable. My husband, myself and my mother-in-law would all recommend Billy highly. He made a challenging situation manageable especially when other traders and companies are being less helpful. Washing machine broke down during the lock-down. Billy came out the same day, armed with his tool kit, mask and gloves. With his great knowledge and experience, the washing machine fault was diagnosed and fixed within the hour. Happy to recommend such a friendly and hard-working professional.

Billy provided a professional and dedicated service despite the current lockdown. We had an issue with the heating element in our oven, Billy arrived the following day and observed social distancing whilst wearing a mask and gloves an absolute plus for those who are vulnerable or may be uncomfortable with someone outwith your family coming into your home. Excellent response and service, especially considering these difficult times of Covid 19. Billy came out at short notice when my oven broke down. He was professional and friendly , operating within the social distancing guidelines and using gloves and a mask. After assessment I decided it might be better to replace the oven. Mr Rutherford came out later the same day as I called to fix our broken oven (even during the pandemic) He very quickly identified and fixed the problem.
Also, he observed social distancing & wore a mask & gloves - which was very much appreciated.
If we ever need any work done again, we’ll definitely be contacting him.

After a lengthy search, without success during this pandemic, to find a domestic appliance specialist to repair our washer-dryer, we discovered Billy Rutherford, BRDomestic Appliance Repair Specialist, in Trusted Traders List we telephoned on 13 April and he came promptly the following day. He was well-prepared and well-equipped in view of the current restrictions and carried out the necessary repairs quickly and efficiently. We would not hesitate to call upon him again in the future and would highly recommend the service he provides.

My Dyson had broken down and was making a weird flapping popping noise.. 2 days later on my way back from a shop on day19 of lockdown I saw Billy’s van in a nearby street... I asked him advice .... he picked up my Dyson 30 mins later from outside my flat and brought it back serviced, parts replaced and repaired by 11am the next morning - prob 24 hours tops From start to finish...

We contacted Billy from Oxford to help repair a cooker in our house in Edinburgh which is rented out. He replied promptly to our message on a Saturday evening then did the work on the bank holiday Monday. He was helpful, knowledgeable, and speedy. Happy to recommend.

Investigation of leak in washing machine and repair. Mr Rutherford came promptly and made clear his pricing and the options of repair or replacement. He had the spare part in van so machine was repaired on the spot.

Needed a Dyson hoover repaired. Spoke to Billy in the morning, he picked the hoover up in the afternoon. Dropped it off 2 days later in mint condition. He observed social distancing and wore a mask.

Problem fitting a new oven element in my elderly mothers cooker (issues with spare
part fitting and access through back of cooker). Called Billy the afternoon before, and
with in 24hrs he arrived and fixed the element within 40mins. Especially impressed
with the way he conducted himself - so much so that he even tried to re-fit a door on one of my mothers kitchen unit despite him not being there to do it !!.
We always say we will use someone's services again when we fill out the after work
questionnaires - this is one of the instances where I will use them again. Will definitely be keeping Billy's business card in my wallet.
