Danny is a real hero-- he attended my property in an emergency after I was scammed by a fake locksmith who destroyed my lock and charged me £400-- he came within 20 minutes (at 11 pm too!) and fixed the lock promptly and for an extremely reasonable price. I will never again use another locksmith, Danny is the ONLY person I would trust!

So glad I found Alcatraz Locksmiths, great communication, service and price.
Danny responded very quickly and arranged an appt within a few days. On the day he arrived promptly and fitted locks (he very kindly upgraded the locks at no extra cost, as he didn’t have the locks he quoted for).
Danny completed the work quickly and tidied everything up after him.
I would highly recommend Alcatraz and would definitely use again, if needed.

We had an issue with the multi-point locks on our uPVC door and Danny was able to diagnose and sort the problem easily. The door was realigned quickly and three minor issues resolved so we now have a door that is working like new.

Danny came within hours of me contacting him to inspect a faulty front door locking mechanism and to provide advice.
As I no longer had faith in the lock Danny replaced the mechanism there and then.
I am happy with the price and the excellent service provided by Danny, who is both professional and personable.

Needed access to the flat urgently after a flooding incident. Found Danny via this site and called at 3pm on Thursday hoping for a Friday call out. He arrived exactly on time at 9.30am (in fact I'd suggested I could be there 30 mins early and he kindly obliged). Was able to gain access, undo some of the damage done to the door, fit a new lock and give me recommendations for a plumber, all within an hour of arriving. He was great and saved me a load of hassle. Thanks Danny, brilliant service.

I first spoke to Danny and he worked out the problem right away. He asked for a few pictures of the locking mechanism on my bifold doors so he could order a new one up. He was very polite and professional.he returned with the part 3days later and replaced the whole locking system which he showed us was all broken as we expected.
He was also kind enough to fix our lever handle at no extra cost.
We would definitely recommend this company and also wouldn’t hesitate to use his services again.

Arranged for decorator to work in the flat whilst away and didn’t give all the correct keys. So he was stuck outside. Rang Danny on recommendation from another locksmith I had used before but was in a job some distance away and couldn’t get to the flat for a few hours. Danny was there in 30 mins or so and got straight in without replacing the barrel of the Yale lock. Quick, pleasant, very reasonable charge. I thoroughly recommend him to anyone needing urgent access to their property.

On top of that, he took the whole locking mechanism out, found the issue, fixed it, oiled it, and adjusted the door's hinges so it's hanging properly again. Downstairs neighbours will be very happy as the door now opens and shuts without a sound!
We had been considering a brand new door but have been assured we don't need it any more, so getting locked out has saved us hundreds of pounds. Very professional, friendly and value for money, even ignoring the very welcome new door savings! Highly recommended. Thank you Alcatraz.

The whole lock mechanism on our back door was broken. Alcatraz Locksmith's responded quickly to our messages, identified the problem and gave a quote very quickly. More importantly (unlike other locksmiths contacted) Alcatraz came quickly and carried out the repair efficiently and professionally. We also found out that our locks were not thief proof so had an updated one fitted.

Danny came in to look at an old door lock which was jamming while opening from outside. The locking mechanism had been discontinued and we were potentially looking at having to replace the whole door frame. Danny fixed this for us by replacing and realigning the lock and saving us hundreds of pounds. Very effective service, highly recommend!

I had problems with the lock on the door into my flat, so much so that yesterday I could not lock it from the outside. Today I phoned four other locksmith companies who all gave a reason (I'm on holiday, I'm too busy, I don't work at weekends etc). This was the first company that I actually spoke to a person, and Danny expressed a willingness to come even though he only works on Saturday mornings, and this was 3pm. He came by 5pm as he had promised and gave me the reassurance that his adjustment would prevent this happening again. I see the work is guaranteed for one year. I am a very satisfied customer and will certainly recommend this firm.

Work was carried out, with replacement items fitted from stock held in the van. (No popping off to Screwfix or B&Q to get spares. I was previously charged 2 hours by an electrician for getting parts). Various option were discussed throughout, identifying the problems, giving me options and recommendations. Work carried out professionally and neatly with a proper tidy up when the jobs were completed.
A day later I identified a minor issue which just need tidied up and when Alcatraz were contacted in the late afternoon, were in attendance the next morning to resolve.
This is sound, quality and professional service we expect but so seldom can find. Cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely being using Alcatraz the next time I have any lock or security issues.

Phoned Alcatraz and got a timescale of arriving between 1 and 2pm same day. Arrived just after 1pm. He fitted a new lock to my front door, replacing old faulty lock. Aligned the door for me as well so all worked as it should. I also got him to supply and fit a new more secure lock to my back door. He was very quick and efficient. Work was well priced. I cannot speak too highly of the service provided and the way in which it was provided. Locksmith came to our house within 30 minutes of answering phone call and took less than that time to fix it. He then showed us how to fix it ourselves next time!

I needed a broken handle replaced on a patio door. They came out on time to replace but needed to order a part which arrived the following day (it was too late in the afternoon to get that day). I was contacted when they had the part and they arrived 10 minutes later to fix it. I could not fault the service, polite, punctual and value for money. This afternoon I returned to my flat to find that a visitor had adjusted the snib lock from the inside, before leaving my flat this morning, meaning that my key no longer worked in my Yale lock. Stressful since I had work to do and a Skype meeting to attend. Alcatraz Locksmiths said they could be with me within the hour, which they were. And the locksmith could not have been more considerate, kind, helpful, effective and friendly. He managed to sort the problem within 8 minutes, leaving no mess (as in scratches etc) on the paintwork, and all the while being extra cheery!! Would use Alcatraz Locksmiths again in a flash, and will recommend to all my friends too.

He explained the charges to get me access 50 and 20 to replace the lock. I went for new replacement Chubb lock. £70. He was very friendly and the job carried out in 20 mins. We had two jobs one of which turned out to be a lot simpler than expected and the other a lot more tricky. The locksmith tried various solutions and sorted it all out for us - and didn't charge any extra because the first job was straightforward, which was very fair of him. Service was quick - they fitted us in the next day - and we knew what it would cost in advance. Really cheery locksmith and highly recommend this company.

Locked myself out my flat and called Alcatraz. Service was prompt and communicative taking no more than 15 mins to attend having explained options over phone. Being unable to access Assa lock was a confidence booster to my security and given the choice I opted to have my lock drilled out to access property and then a new lock akin to my old one fitted very professionally and speedily with 3 new keys supplied. Service was outstanding and value for money exceptional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Danny to others.

I've never left a positive review about a trader before but I would wholeheartedly recommend any friend, family or insurer about Alcatraz!! They fixed my handle within 20 mins but crucially they explained the problem was my door alignment not the handle.they upgraded the handle and realigned the door in double quick time. My house had been broken into and the inside porch door was locked shut. I tried to unpick the lock and failed. It was after-hours, but I called Danny and he was over within 20 minutes. He managed to get the key out of the lock without damaging the old vintage door. It only took him 10 minutes. I'd highly recommend using this company.
