I was referred to AEF Electrical for conducting an ECIR check and complete any remedial work to achieve accreditation for my apartment in Edinburgh.

I work overseas's so Dave and team worked with myself remotely & my local letting agent.

At all times Dave was supportive, flexible lots of common sense and a reasonable quote compared to my initial quote from a different supplier, which was double the quote received from AEF Electrical. I highly recommend Dave & his team.

This is now the second time I’ve had AEF Electrical to my property and once again, the customer service was great. This time I had the installation of new fire alarms to meet the new fire safety regulations. Quick response to my initial enquiry, Ben arrived on time, gave clear explanations as to what he was doing and carried out the job quickly and to a high standard. Would definitely recommend.

I booked AEF to install a new timer for my heating system. The engineer arrived promptly and was very friendly and helpful. He completed the work quickly and to a high standard. I was very pleased with the work done, and I would happily recommend AEF to friends and family.

EAF came to do a few electrical repairs and checks on my flat. As a woman living on my own, it's really great to find people who talk to me like an adult. They explained the issues clearly, and fixed the problems quickly. Great communication in arranging the work too. Couldn't recommend enough.

AEF Electrical were extremely professional in their work and attitude, and very easy to engage with. They fitted smoke and heat detection alarms in my house and two flats. They arranged access directly with my tenants, arrived on time, did the work to a good standard, tidied up and provided certification and invoices promptly. I needed my main fuseboard brought into the 21st century and took the advice of Dave from AEF Electrical Ltd. He explained the benefits of the upgrade and gave me a couple of options for replacement. I agreed the option I preferred and we set up a date for replacement. The electrician arrived on time, worked for the estimated amount of time and when he left you would never have known he had been as he had tidied everything up. There have been no 'snagging' issues and everything is working perfectly. A true 5* servive.

Needed to have an ancient fuse box replaced with a consumer unit and also had three mains powered smoke alarms fitted as per new regulations. I was impressed by Dave and Johnny's positive approach and personable manner. The communication was very good and I have only dropped to 4 stars on value as I am not sure what others would have charged. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others - and have already done so.

Have had 2 jobs done in recent weeks by AEF: replacement and resiting of storage heaters, and replacement of a defective light gantry.
On each occasion couldn't fault AEF on their work or their approach: prompt, courteous, and extremely professional. Would't hesitate either to recommend them or to call on them again.

We had a full electrical test of the property and moving of original sockets and installation of new double sockets throughout two rooms. The work was done quickly (within timescale required) and efficiently with everything about the job and what would be required clearly communicated before and during. We would definitely recommend.

Outside lights and smoke alarms replaced. Electrical socket repaired. Everything explained clearly from the estimate to the actual work carried out.

Out dated fuse box replaced for new modern unit. Minor existing wiring discrepancies rectified in the process. My experience with AEF was excellent, especially considering the COVID situation they did their best to have work completed at my property ASAP. Would definitely use again for future electrical works.

I Found this company first class , Dave was friendly and helpfull as was his electrician. He first tried to repair it but when that did not work he replaced the part, at notime did he ask for payment till it had been working for a few days . We need more traders like him . Dave initially visited our property with a view to provide a quote for our house to be rewired. Dave took time to explain what it was he was doing and discuss the work required. Dave took a pragmatic approach in terms of what work actually needed to be carried out.

The work took place as planned and within the timescales discussed. When we returned to our property the house was relatively dust-free especially given the dust that must have been generated due to the re-wire.

Overall, very pleased with the service provided.

Dave rewired the electricity supply to the entry phone. He was quick to come out and we especially appreciate that he did in the corona virus climate. Thanks for an efficient and friendly service.

We emailed AEF to advise that we wanted to replace one internal light fitting together with an external sensor light. Dave emailed us back advising the date and time his team would be on site for the works to be carried out. They arrived on time, were professional and friendly, double-checked what we wanted done and started immediately. They tidied up at the end, making sure everything was working and we were happy before leaving. We are delighted with the jobs undertaken and our new lights are working great. Will definitely use AEF again and would highly recommend them to others.

We had an LED strip light installed in our hallway, which looks fantastic. We also had some other lights and switches moved or replaced. Dave came for an initial visit and made great suggestions including ways to reuse some of the fittings elsewhere in the house to save money. His team were prompt, efficient and very tidy making sure they cleaned up afterwards. Would definitely use AEF again.

Dave ensured that my enquiry was dealt with really promptly. Ben expertly fitted an oven which required to be hardwired to the mains. He arrived on schedule and was courteous and efficient. I will definitely use AEF again.

Dave was excellent with communication by email and phone. He and Ben were punctual and had things completed on time. They happily accommodated last minute changes and found a quick solution to a potential problem so that I got what I wanted.

Thank you for accommodating all my last minute changes, especially coming up with a fix for the dreaded wall light! I'll be in touch again for more work needing to be done in the future. And thanks to Ben as well - he was most considerate, tidy, polite and conscientious
