After moving into a new place, I had the wiring checked, and repair work done based on the check. Dave was absolutely fantastic - prompt, reliable, conscientious, and considerate. I never got the sense that he was trying to get me to agree to work that was unnecessary, and he was able to accommodate some last minute additional requests (like wiring an HDMI cable between rooms) with no fuss at all. If only all traders were as good as this!

We had a full rewire to our 1960s property with some additional works carried out to modernise the property.
From start to finish, the service from Dave and the team at AEF was excellent. We were a bit daunted as new homeowners finding a good electrician and we are so lucky that we found a great one!
Dave undertook a thorough inspection of the property and talked us through some options before providing us with a very clear and timeous quote.
Once accepted, Dave visited the property once more to finalise plans and talk us through the work schedule.
The work started on the day we were told it would and we were kept informed throughout.
The team were immaculate in their work but also in tidying up (even the coffee cups were washed!) and removing all the old materials.

Excellent service. Work consisted of replacing an ancient fusebox with an RCBO consumer unit, conducting an electrical test/inspection (EICR) and wiring in a new electric cooker. Dave provided a clear and fair quote and got the work booked in for us very quickly.

Ben arrived bang on time. Friendly and professional throughout his visit, he explained what he was doing and why. I felt very comfortable having him in the flat. He insisted on tidying up after the job and left the place spotless.

The old fusebox was a bit of a mess and was in a confined space so installation of the new consumer unit took a considerable amount of time. Despite this, the final invoice matched the original quote. This was really fair of AEF and highlights their professionalism. Thanks guys!

Great work from Dave, Dave and the team! I had a number of items completed by AEF Electrical over 3 sessions including wiring up a new kitchen, fitting kitchen lighting, fitting smoke and heat alarm system, fitting a new consumer unit and moving plug sockets up wall from skirting boards.

Needed to get a few things done after moving into a new house including moving sockets out of the skirting boards, a general check of the electrics, and new fire alarms installed, so contacted AEF. Got a quick response to my email and then a quick visit to size up the job and they were able to fit the job in within a couple of weeks. From the first contact Dave was friendly and professional. the job took a couple of days and I had no worries leaving Dave with a set of keys while we went away to escape the disruption. The job was completed on time, they tidied up after themselves and overall we were really happy with the work they did.
In terms of cost the quote was similar to the other two I got.
I'd have no hesitation recommending AEF to anyone who needed some work done and would definitely use them again if I need any more in the future.

The work was done when they said they'd do it. It was completed when they said it would be. The standard of workmanship was slightly better than anticipated. They called when they weren't sure how I wanted something done and made decisions for me when I wasn't sure. Those decisions were the correct ones, in hindsight. They weren't the cheapest quote but they weren't far off. I chose them because it was clear from the outset that they were the most professional. They cleaned up after themselves. Very happy indeed.

Electrician Ben from AEF did a great job on fitting my 3 x ceiling light fittings , did very professional job , and also sorted 2 other electrical fittings at the same time, had supplies with him to complete these other 2 jobs . Tidied up after himself , polite and courteous , would recommend .

Dave's team were amazingly responsive - coming out the same afternoon to fix a number of small electrical issues and back again to finish off something the next afternoon once they had the part. Dave himself was very clear about what to expect re pricing so there were no surprises and he and his team were cheerful and polite.

I contacted AEF regarding the new regulations around smoke alarms and in less than a week they had been out to my home and completed the required work to a very high standard. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

This is now the second time I’ve had AEF Electrical to my property and once again, the customer service was great. This time I had the installation of new fire alarms to meet the new fire safety regulations.
