Bathroom fan fitted. Got quotes from three people. AEF were slightly cheaper but what swung our decision to use them was customer service, they gave more info initially about the make of fan they chose, and also more detail when requested by us.

On the day they were very prompt, friendly and helpful.

Will use again for sure, since the electricians we have used for many years sadly closed in 2023.

Had AEF check the electrical installation after purchasing a new flat and then doing a bit of remedial work and installing a new oven and connecting the gas hob. Also had them back to change a ceiling light. Very reliable and polite each time and work done to a high standard. They are now my go-to electricians and I would highly recommend them.

We have just used AEF for a full rewire of our home and from the outset they have been superb, I cannot think of a single flaw or complaint. They responded quickly and helped through the planning process giving suggestions on how best to locate points and switches etc resulting in a competitively priced quote. They managed to fit us in while we were away on holiday and really pulled out all the stops to get the work completed in that time. Installed new induction hob and cabling, new oven, and ceiling lights in my tenement flat. Carried out a general safety check and installed a new consumer unit. The work was excellent. I was given a sound estimate, the electrician kept me informed about when he would come, and came soon after I called. He immediately identified the problem with an electric shower and fixed it, he fitted a fire alarm, and gave good advice on fixing an extractor fan that couldn’t be fixed immediately. It was all done efficiently and at a price that was reasonable and accorded with the initial estimate. A really good service.

AEF Electrical Ltd fitted new bathroom lights for me, they offered to repair/replace the existing lights but suggested I might prefer new LED's and explained the benefits of making this choice. I went with the LED's and I have made the right decision as they are fantastic. The job was done very quickly and to a fantastic standard. I am very happy with the result.

So quick and tidy!! Also such a reasonable price for the work. I called them and they were there the same day!!!

Dave and his team had to complete two communal stair upgrades. The first - change the stair lights to LED and the second, replace old timer and complete rewiring to remove older cloth wiring.

Existing conduit was used therefore no extra drilling and new pipe work needed.

Overall: turned up on time. Got on with the job. No chitchat delaying the job.
Provided instructions on timer change. Tidied up behind them, which included sweeping.

I had an EICR done for my flat which identified the fuse box needed upgrading. Dave gave me a quote within a couple of days of asking for one. It was competitive and the work could be done within a few days - giving me options on dates. Jonny arrived on time and explained what would happen and showed me the workings of the fuse box once installed. I was really pleased with the quality of the work and Jonny's manner. Happy to recommend AEF and would engage them again.

We needed an electrician to fit an induction hob and to make a new socket in the wall in a different room in the house. I found AEF to respond quickly and efficiently to my enquiry, to arrive at the agreed time and to do an excellent job. I would definitely use them again and recommend them.

Had some investigative/testing work done due to RCD breaker tripping frequently. Jonny was extremely friendly and clearly knowledgeable, he explained the tests that he did and what the results meant, and made some recommendations for a few things in my home that should be improved without any element of pushiness or feeling like I was being sold to.

AEF were also able to fit me in at short notice (same day!) which was great.
