I recently recruited Kevin for 3 jobs. Two were replacement of roof and ridge tiles and the 3rd job was a 2 day job on a flat roof which required removing flat roof back to rafters and replacing. The service provided was professional. Questions answered immediately. From start to finish I was impressed with the whole process. Pictures taken at each stage ... quote, during work and after job completed. I had three jobs.2 out of 3 were simpler (for a roofer anyway!) ... requested a quote at 11am, the jobs were complete by 5pm (tiles and ridge tiles replacement due to damage at 2 different properties).

The 3rd job was weather dependent however this was completed within a few weeks from quote approval. Came with a 10 year guarantee for a flat roof replacement (removed flat roof covering back to rafters and replaced.)

Flat roof repair in Kilmarnock. Water ingressing into ceiling above front door. A very thorough and professional job was done by the company. From first impressions of Kevin the owner coming out to review and price the work right through to the on-site team executing on the works everything was done very professionally.

complete re-roof together with repair/roughcasting of my side of shared chimney. From arrival of the workforce on the first day, going by their appearance, demeanour and attitude, I was confident I had hired an expert workforce and had trust they were the type of workforce that would find solutions to any problems they encountered (rather than finding problems and then adjusting the estimate).
And as the original estimate was honoured (bar a slight adjustment due to the substantial increase in timber price between estimate and work commencing. (and informed directly about this) I have faith in the integrity of Kevin Aitken and his workforce.
Each day they arrived on time and just got on with it until finishing time, and tidied up on their last day.

Full reroofing of a large house on the Isle of Arran. New slate, chimney removals and extensive beadwork. This was a full reroofing job on a large house on the Isle of Arran with the removal of a number of chimneys and extensive lead work. I have dealt with Kevin before and once again he and his team were highly professional in their approach to the planning and execution of the work and straightforward to deal with - there were no surprises. The house is used for holiday rentals so it was important that firm timings for starting and finishing the job were agreed from the outset (with guests scheduled to come in on completion there was no room for overrun). Throughout the job Kevin was proactive in keeping me informed of progress with the work (I wasn''t on site) and when the ferry service was cancelled he made sure that I understood that they had plans in place to ensure the job was completed on time. His approach made the experience a lot less stressful than it could have been.
The work was completed in full and on time and I am delighted with the results.

The work carried out; on our behalf,by Kevin Aitken Roofing/Roofline Ltd comprised the re-roofing of the entire roof to our property, including the installation of a new Velux Roofline Window, and the replacement of all rainwater gutters and downpipes.

We had Kevin Aitken Roofing in to replace our whole slate and a flat roof. The work was first class and I cannot fault the guys for working hard . Job looks great now it is done, very happy with work and cannot rate highly enough.

Reroofing Highly recommend this company. Everything went to plan. The workforce started to arrive at 7 45 a.m. and started work at 8 am daily. There were site meetings with the workforce and the owner of the company Kevin Aitken He visited the site daily and worked on the job at the crucial times to beat inclement weather.

The work was organised and everyone knew exactly what they were doing. Everyone was courteous and respectful

The job was finished within the timescale and exceeded my expectations.

As it wa a large job with 3 different elements the job was priced that we could have had done separately and priced in that way which was very helpful
Price that was quoted was price we paid no hidden extras
The job for all 3 elements took approximately 1 week workmen kept us updated with progress and left areas clean and tidy end of each day
Would highly recommend and will definitely use them again

Supply and fit 2 velux windows Brilliant company to deal with, very reasonably priced. Got 2 velux windows fitted and 1 old window removed, Job completed fast with no hickups even with the rain pouring. Would recommend to anyone

Kevin and his team carried out a traditional slate roof job in Ayr, South Ayrshire complete with lead work and velux flashings. The job was an extension to an existing property so it was crucial that the new install matched the old and this was carried out to perfection, i have used Kevin on many occasions and he always gives the best of service. His men are always accommodating and leave the site clean and tidy when finished each excellent job. The service that Kevin and his men provide is second to none and take immense pride in their work. I personally would always use Kevin as there is no reason to look elsewhere.

Roof was in a terrible condition in the house we purchased. Contacted Kevin to arrange a quote for a complete new roof and guttering. Fair price and great workmanship. Good communication and a hard working bunch of roofers. Roof in our newly purchased property was in a very bad way and needed replaced as soon as possible. Contacted a lot of different roofers for quotes and Kevin''s quote was comprehensive and a good price.

Work started a couple of days late due to the weather in January but the lads work quickly and efficiently. The new breathable membrane and tiles were on in no time. The new guttering followed thereafter.

The team worked diligently, professionally and cleaned up after themselves.

Throughout the job Kevin stayed in contact, making us aware of what was happening and when.

New gutters and fascias fitted. Overall, an excellent job with attention to detail.

Restoration of walls and ceilings in an old house. Kevin and his plasterer kept me informed of the challenges of restoring the old walls and ceilings. The work was finished to a very high standard if the state of the original walls and ceiling are taken into consideration.

We recently had some repairs completed to the Roof due to water penetration. We also had an old cast iron downpipe replaced.
Kevin and the team completed all the works as advised and kept us up to date on the time schedule etc for the works. We have also used Kevin and the team for our annual clearing of the gutters for our buildings. With all works always being completed to a high standard.

We have used Kevin and his team for a few jobs now and have always had the works completed to the standard that I was expecting. Kevin personally has always kept me up to to date with the progress of any of the works we have instructed.

2 ageing Velux windows removed and replaced with new like for like, due to change in profiles from old style to modern slight modification required internally. Men arrived promptly on day agreed and very quickly commenced setting up job, guys were all friendly and job progressed very quickly. New windows were fitted and the internal work commenced with the finished result better than expected or hoped for. Both internal and external areas were as clean upon completion as they were when work started. Was fairly careful checking external areas as we have pets but no missed debris was to be found. Would have absolutely no issues with recommending Kevin Aitken to others and will definitely use again.
