A full house move from East Ayrshire to Cumbria, with the contents of a three bedroom house and garage. Some access problems at the new property. It can be difficult choosing a removals company, as it''s not the sort of service you use every day. Rest assured, Curry''s removals provide an excellent and professional service. Even though I had to change date a couple of times, Mary was always accommodating and helpful. On the day of the move, the lads turned up on time, and loading went without a hitch. At the new address everything was put where I wanted, despite access problems. The whole experience was stress free. Not one item was damaged, not even my lead crystal glasses - a different experience to the "man and van" service I used in the past. I have no reservations in recommending Curry''s for house removals.

We moved out of our house for building works to take place, and then back in again 6 months later. They took most but not all goods for a family of 5 from a two-storey house. Moving is stressful, no matter who you use. We had a busy schedule and were down-sizing, so it was hard work.
But we honestly were pleased we chose Curries.The team came on time, were cheery and caring. They took a lot of the stress out of the move for us.
Two days before the move, I realised that we weren''t going to have the front drive finished, and I expected the worst, but it simply wasn''t a problem. Mary in reception offered some alternative dates, but they actually overcame the problem themselves and we moved on the day we wanted.
This was SUCH a different experience to another company we used a couple of years prior (who have now changed their name), who I felt treated us unfairly both on the day and afterwards.
So thanks again Mary and the whole team - we genuinely have happy memories of moving day! Beat that!

This company stepped into at the last moment as arranged company let me down on day of removal. They were able to get me a few hours in the afternoon and the next morning but of course charged me double for removal. The men seemed pretty crass when they arrived on seeing what had to be removed but relented realising this situation was not my fault and I was pretty upset. They moved what they could that afternoon and arrived next morning with no extra man. They were careful when handling my furniture and placed it where I wanted it.
I thank if this had been a normal contract it would have worked fine.

Moving home - from upper conversion (1st /2nd floors) with rear garage to 3 storey house. We opted to move to a new house with Curries as they offered both a large removal truck for the house as well as a smaller van to help access our garage (access lane too small for the large truck). This helped significantly reduce the burden on us at what is an already stressful time. The guys turned up on time, were polite and friendly and just got on with the job. The weather was against us as well, but everything went smoothly. Once loaded up the guys took a very short break for lunch then just got right back into unloading at the other end. A few things are still in boxes, but everything has made it here undamaged – so what more can you ask. Would have no problem using them again or recommending them.

Removal from four bedroom house plus contents of double garage to storage for three weeks, followed by removal from storage to new house.

Price given is for total cost of two removals and three weeks storage. Initial move was £725 of total.
This was my first experience of putting the household in to storage. Guidance was given regarding materials that cannot be stored like combustible materials (fuel, paint, gas bottles, etc).

It was raining during the move out and covers were placed on the floor to absorb water and keep the carpets clean. General handling was good with care taken not damage walls and paintwork.

Packing cases and wardrobes were also provided.

Vehicle provided was 18 ton removal van. Unfortunately, the length and steering lock caused problems due to a tight turn that had to be made at the house entrance. A 12.5 ton vehicle would probably have been more suitable. However, persistence paid off.

Generally pleased with overall performance and result.

Complex move from rural location to new build. We required clearance of outbuildings and move to and from storage of our household contents. Restricted access in our previous property meant the team had to use a smaller truck to ferry our belongings to the main removal lorry which was parked down in the village. Fantastic service from Mary and the team at Curries. We had a complex move requiring clearance of outbuildings, and moving house contents to and from storage. From the moment we engaged with Curries they were in control of all elements of our move and really took the pressure off. The outbuilding clearance was completed several days before the move to storage which was ideal. The excellent team that moved us to and from storage were hardworking, helpful, polite and friendly. All of our possessions were moved and stored carefully and have now arrived safely in their new home with no damage. Having been unimpressed previously with the services of a larger Ayrshire removal firm, we are delighted to have found Curries and will certainly use their services again if the need arises!

House move From start to finish it was all seemless, turned up on time and very pleasant, guys were different class and worked their socks off, nothing damaged, broken or fell over and everything placed in various rooms in new house, can''t recommend them highly enough

Our house move was from Troon to Taynuilt. Due to the distance, curries loaded the van on friday and delivered to Taynuilt on Monday, by agreement. We were extremely pleased with the service from Curries from start to finish. We were impressed with the care taken with our belongings and furniture. Eg the special padder sofa covers. The removal men were very helpful.

Moving 330 miles from Scotland to Lincolnshire. Easy access at both ends. The move went very smoothly. Andy and Robbie did an excellent job. Everything well protected and no damage.

What a team!

I invited Andy and Robbie back to see my 4 Hornby train sets in action. I showed them the trains and Robbie was particularly interested as he had a train set which he doesnt have time to play with. It was a joy having lunch with them and I hope they were as happy with Diana and I as we were with them. I cannot say anything more in their favour - they were fabulous!

Moved from a 2nd floor modern flat in Ayr to a ground floor tenement flat in Glasgow, with 10 steps leading to front door. Removal from Ayr was fast and efficient and, although I wasn''t present at unloading at Glasgow end, I believe it went well too. Time estimated for move was 4-5 hrs and estimate was accurate: 4 1/2 hrs. Firm don''t normally do Saturday removals but were willing to accomodate me.
I was impressed by the care they took of furniture and protective wrapping of mattress etc. Although there was a lift, they carried several items down 2 flights of stairs incase they were marked in lift.
Whereas office personnel were very pleasant and helpful, I was a bit disappointed in the head porter on the day of the move. Although I gave a tip, he did not come back to thank me or say that they had finished. They just left.

Very efficient and protective of others'' goods. Family run business shows their interest in being well respected and trustworthy. Fairly priced and deserve to be supported in favour of big companies.

Loft Clearance All aspects from dealing with office staff, quote for job and day of clearance was prompt and professional. Attempts at clearing up area afterwards could be improved.

Removal of furniture from one house to another. Delighted with the service we received from Curries.The removal men worked hard, nothing was broken or lost and we would use this company again if we ever moved house in the future.

To remove the contents including furniture of a six apartment chalet bungalow, garage and large garden shed. Could not be better.
They suggested they come the afternoon before flitting and remove boxes and smaller items to ensure that there were no delays on day of flitting.
We thought this was very helpful and relieved us of stress.
In price was included 40 boxes (flat pack) good quality.
A further 14 boxes and large sheath of fine wrapping paper for China, ornaments and etc. The 3 workmen were pleasant, friendly and careful. They worked hard and completed removal and installation at new address on time.
We were pleased to tip them generously.
