Reasonably large house move from London to Ayr Seemed reasonable amount for moving and two days storage of contents.

Last Minute House Clearance Absolutely amazing company! I was let down at the very last minute by another firm to come and do a house clearance for me! A frantic call to Mary and within an hour, Colin & Gavin arrived and the house was cleared within a few hours. I honestly couldn’t be more grateful. These guys really know what they are doing, so fast, efficient and all with a smile and a joke - which was exactly what I needed after the panic!! I would highly recommend to anyone needing their services.

Some items cleared from my late mother’s house and other items moved into storage in my garage. Good contact details on website. Friendly, helpful person at office end. Removal team were obviously experienced. The job was assessed before it was undertaken. Any snags encountered during the clearing were dealt with efficiently and without fuss. A good experience of clearing and moving furniture.

Move from country property to seaside 10 miles distant.

Narrow access to country property required small vans. Office staff and removal team very helpful and cooperative overall very efficient.

After using another removals company. Boxed stacked to high etc. and to heavy for the move, (age 79 yrs) helped me get more organised and moved heavy box's etc. I found them very considerate and would use them to move me.

It was a removal from a large 4 bedroom property in the South of Glasgow to a 5 bedroom property in the North of Oxford. Curries Removals & Clearances is a small and family run business. I had some hesitation before deciding to use the company for the job.

The overall result was that Curries Removals & Clearances did not give a high quote but delivered a service of the highest quality.

In other words, Curries Removals & Clearances costed less than those large and branded companies but delivered better services than those large and branded companies.

The move was fast, efficient and above all ease, professional service throughout the day! Andy and Kevin were just brilliant on the day of our move, and were both very careful with our furniture, especially our valuable items.
We could not of asked for a more professional pair to move us into our forever home.

They were professional, pleasant and very helpful especially in the new house where by we did not know the workings. We could not have received better service.

Move was completed smoothly and pleasantly. Could not have asked for better, guys were great and there was no hassle with anything. Moving guys were experts, would highly recommend.

Move went smoothly as possible. Removal men worked quickly and efficiently. Everything went to plan apart from late collection of keys. Was not aware that charges would apply, however, this was waived so thank you. Removal men were helpful and courteous.

Move from a 3 bed bungalow to a 4 bed villa. Boxed all items ourselves and moved them to garage. Prepacked all furniture ourselves - dismantle beds etc. This was our 10th move in 45 years. Great service. Came on time to house, packed all furniture carefully including wrapping items before securing in van, driver and loader worked fast and efficiently without hurrying. All insurance aspects were dealt with via email so no particular attention was drawn to these aspects of the move but as I read the T and C's this matter was or so concern.
Overall a superb service.

The men arrived on time. Worked hard clearing boxes and moving to van including covering couch with a cushion cover keeping it safe. They filled the van in a very methodical way. They cleared the house quickly.

See below. Two day move day one o.k no problems.
Day two extra help employed from a third party removal company. This didn't work out as he had a disagreement with other members of the team and went home. This resulted in the team being short staffed, which impacted on the move into our new home, and made it a very long day i.e 12 hrs. Some gardening tools were not left and it took 3 days to get them back to us.

House clearance and removal. Robbie and Andy were very helpful hard working and cheerfull. They went above and beyond their call of duty to help us into our new home.

This was our 3rd attempt at moving as our previous attempts failed at the last minute. Most of our stuff was already packed from previous and as we were downsizing a lot of furniture, etc was previously sold or donated to charity. A full house move from East Ayrshire to Cumbria, with the contents of a three bedroom house and garage. Some access problems at the new property. It can be difficult choosing a removals company, as it''s not the sort of service you use every day. Rest assured, Curry''s removals provide an excellent and professional service. Even though I had to change date a couple of times, Mary was always accommodating and helpful. On the day of the move, the lads turned up on time, and loading went without a hitch. At the new address everything was put where I wanted, despite access problems. The whole experience was stress free. Not one item was damaged, not even my lead crystal glasses - a different experience to the "man and van" service I used in the past. I have no reservations in recommending Curry''s for house removals.

We moved out of our house for building works to take place, and then back in again 6 months later. They took most but not all goods for a family of 5 from a two-storey house. Moving is stressful, no matter who you use. We had a busy schedule and were down-sizing, so it was hard work.
But we honestly were pleased we chose Curries.The team came on time, were cheery and caring. They took a lot of the stress out of the move for us.
Two days before the move, I realised that we weren''t going to have the front drive finished, and I expected the worst, but it simply wasn''t a problem. Mary in reception offered some alternative dates, but they actually overcame the problem themselves and we moved on the day we wanted.
This was SUCH a different experience to another company we used a couple of years prior (who have now changed their name), who I felt treated us unfairly both on the day and afterwards.
So thanks again Mary and the whole team - we genuinely have happy memories of moving day! Beat that!

This company stepped into at the last moment as arranged company let me down on day of removal. They were able to get me a few hours in the afternoon and the next morning but of course charged me double for removal. The men seemed pretty crass when they arrived on seeing what had to be removed but relented realising this situation was not my fault and I was pretty upset. They moved what they could that afternoon and arrived next morning with no extra man. They were careful when handling my furniture and placed it where I wanted it.
I thank if this had been a normal contract it would have worked fine.

Moving home - from upper conversion (1st /2nd floors) with rear garage to 3 storey house. We opted to move to a new house with Curries as they offered both a large removal truck for the house as well as a smaller van to help access our garage (access lane too small for the large truck). This helped significantly reduce the burden on us at what is an already stressful time. The guys turned up on time, were polite and friendly and just got on with the job. The weather was against us as well, but everything went smoothly. Once loaded up the guys took a very short break for lunch then just got right back into unloading at the other end. A few things are still in boxes, but everything has made it here undamaged – so what more can you ask. Would have no problem using them again or recommending them.

Removal from four bedroom house plus contents of double garage to storage for three weeks, followed by removal from storage to new house.

Price given is for total cost of two removals and three weeks storage. Initial move was £725 of total.
This was my first experience of putting the household in to storage. Guidance was given regarding materials that cannot be stored like combustible materials (fuel, paint, gas bottles, etc).

It was raining during the move out and covers were placed on the floor to absorb water and keep the carpets clean. General handling was good with care taken not damage walls and paintwork.

Packing cases and wardrobes were also provided.

Vehicle provided was 18 ton removal van. Unfortunately, the length and steering lock caused problems due to a tight turn that had to be made at the house entrance. A 12.5 ton vehicle would probably have been more suitable. However, persistence paid off.

Generally pleased with overall performance and result.

Complex move from rural location to new build. We required clearance of outbuildings and move to and from storage of our household contents. Restricted access in our previous property meant the team had to use a smaller truck to ferry our belongings to the main removal lorry which was parked down in the village. Fantastic service from Mary and the team at Curries. We had a complex move requiring clearance of outbuildings, and moving house contents to and from storage. From the moment we engaged with Curries they were in control of all elements of our move and really took the pressure off. The outbuilding clearance was completed several days before the move to storage which was ideal. The excellent team that moved us to and from storage were hardworking, helpful, polite and friendly. All of our possessions were moved and stored carefully and have now arrived safely in their new home with no damage. Having been unimpressed previously with the services of a larger Ayrshire removal firm, we are delighted to have found Curries and will certainly use their services again if the need arises!

Our house move was from Troon to Taynuilt. Due to the distance, curries loaded the van on friday and delivered to Taynuilt on Monday, by agreement. We were extremely pleased with the service from Curries from start to finish. We were impressed with the care taken with our belongings and furniture. Eg the special padder sofa covers. The removal men were very helpful.

I invited Andy and Robbie back to see my 4 Hornby train sets in action. I showed them the trains and Robbie was particularly interested as he had a train set which he doesnt have time to play with. It was a joy having lunch with them and I hope they were as happy with Diana and I as we were with them. I cannot say anything more in their favour - they were fabulous!

Moved from a 2nd floor modern flat in Ayr to a ground floor tenement flat in Glasgow, with 10 steps leading to front door. Removal from Ayr was fast and efficient and, although I wasn''t present at unloading at Glasgow end, I believe it went well too. Time estimated for move was 4-5 hrs and estimate was accurate: 4 1/2 hrs. Firm don''t normally do Saturday removals but were willing to accomodate me.
I was impressed by the care they took of furniture and protective wrapping of mattress etc. Although there was a lift, they carried several items down 2 flights of stairs incase they were marked in lift.
Whereas office personnel were very pleasant and helpful, I was a bit disappointed in the head porter on the day of the move. Although I gave a tip, he did not come back to thank me or say that they had finished. They just left.

Very efficient and protective of others'' goods. Family run business shows their interest in being well respected and trustworthy. Fairly priced and deserve to be supported in favour of big companies.

Loft Clearance All aspects from dealing with office staff, quote for job and day of clearance was prompt and professional. Attempts at clearing up area afterwards could be improved.

To remove the contents including furniture of a six apartment chalet bungalow, garage and large garden shed. Could not be better.
They suggested they come the afternoon before flitting and remove boxes and smaller items to ensure that there were no delays on day of flitting.
We thought this was very helpful and relieved us of stress.
In price was included 40 boxes (flat pack) good quality.
A further 14 boxes and large sheath of fine wrapping paper for China, ornaments and etc. The 3 workmen were pleasant, friendly and careful. They worked hard and completed removal and installation at new address on time.
