S&P Renewables

Installation of air source heat pump. The company was prompt, answered all our questions and did what they said they would do. The installers were very professional, friendly, helpful and took great care of our house during the installation.

Installation of PV panels and inverter generating 14kW and battery storage of 40kWh.
Very good experience throughout, from their first site visit to the go-live day. Ewan was always available to deal with issues, and Theo, Sam and the rest of the installation team were efficient, friendly and helpful, as were Diane and Becky in the office.

We have just had a solar array, smart inverter and storage battery installed by S & P renewables. The entire installation took just two days to complete with minimal disruption. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer bunch of guys doing the install. They were very efficient whilst fully respecting our property. Hand over was clear and helpful with full instructions on how to use the app which monitors the system.
The girls in the office have also been very helpful as exporting energy back to the grid requires various paperwork which they organise.
All in all can’t recommend S & P highly enough. We have now decided to have an air source heat pump installed and can safely say that these guys will be fitting it.

Excellent workmanship and communication throughout our solar panel and battery installation.
Communication was strong from the initial quote, order placement and G99 application through to installation and follow-up. Of the three quotes we received, S&P offered both the lowest price and the highest specification.
A minor issue after installation was quickly resolved when Duracell remotely upgraded the inverter firmware. The installation team was friendly and knowledgeable, completing the work halfway through the second day.
The installation was tidy, and the team cleaned up afterwards. They also explained how the system worked and helped set up the control app.
Overall a great experience from start to finish.

After speaking to someone at Home Energy Scotland regarding the available Government Grant and Loan scheme to install an air-source heat pump, we were advised to get 3 quotes before choosing an installer. Ewan from S&P was the first to come around to give us a quote, and I quickly realised that he knew what he was talking about, so even though we were required to obtain a further two quotes, it seemed fairly obvious that S&P Renewables would be the best choice. They installed a Vaillant aroTHERM Plus 5kW air-source heat pump, along with a Vaillant 175-litre hot-water cylinder, new pipework and radiators in August 2026 to replace our old oil boiler and tank.

We were away the week of installation so as to make things easier for the team, and I must admit to feeling somewhat anxious about it all, but I needn’t have been! Before we got home the team had tidied up, vacuumed and removed the old boiler and radiators, so the house definitely didn’t look like a building site, which I was relieved about. Malcolm, the plumber, explained the system to us, and helped me to download the My Vaillant app, showing me how to use the settings, and now, a few weeks on I feel quite confident about programming the system. I feel sure that if I have any questions about that I can always get help from Diane or Becky in the office as they are very quick to respond to emails.

Having an ASHP and hot-water cylinder installed is definitely not a small job with little disruption, that is true, so if you are considering having this done at your property, you need to be prepared for some upheaval and the fact that it could possibly take a few weeks before complete order has been restored, depending on how much available space you have in your home. However, I am happy to say that the S&P team, including those in the office, made the experience as easy as it possibly could be, for which I am grateful. It is clear that they have a lot of experience in this type of work, and that is so important when choosing someone to do a big job like that.

The bottom line is that we definitely recommend S&P Renewables!

Solar panels & batteries.
Panels arrived on time, very professional, swift & efficient service and carried out by very nice team.
Follow up needed to resolve WiFi connection issues and general learning about how it all worked, all provided by phone by office team. Couldn’t have had better service from them - friendly, helpful and knew exactly what they were doing.
Only comment I’d make is that it would have been helpful to have manual earlier in the proceedings.
Would highly recommend S& P Renewables.

Top-Notch Installation!
We recently had solar panels installed, and the experience couldn't have been better. From start to finish, the entire team was exceptionally professional, efficient, and respectful of our home. They walked us through the entire process, answered all our questions clearly, and completed the installation seamlessly and right on schedule. The quality of their workmanship is top-tier, and the system is working perfectly. If you are considering going solar, I cannot recommend this company and their fantastic crew highly enough!

We have been very impressed by Ewan, his team in the office and his installation teams. S and P were recommended to us by friends who had solar panels installed by them. From the beginning we felt in safe hands with all our questions being answered knowledgeably. Knowing that the company has been trading for 16 years gave us additional confidence.

We were so impressed with the solar panel process, we decided to also get a heat pump installed. All the installation team were great. They finished when expected and cleaned up after themselves in the house and garden.

We are very happy with our new set up and have already recommended S&P to friends.

Solar panel and battery installation, very pleased with the service. Good communication throughout, efficient service which caused minimal disruption to our business. Thank you.

No complaints from me, professional, reliable and friendly from start to finish.

I wanted to install a solar and battery system for my house. The experience was not ‘hard sell’ but made really easy by being able to talk to someone local. They helped guide me through the planning process, which was very helpful too.
When they came to install, the guys were polite and efficient which was great!

We had an air source heat pump installed with S&P. They were very quick to provide the service and the quote was the most competitive one by a large margin. They installed the heat pump with minimal disruption and were friendly and polite. I would recommend using their services and I would like to look to use them again for other renewables installations such as solar panels.

We would highly recommend this organisation to supply and install an electric car charger snd solar panels.
Their quality of workmanship combined with professionalism are second to nun.

Excellent experienced workmanship installed 14 panels covering 2 roof areas, inverter and battery all completed and commissioned and fully working in 1.5 days.
Easy Company to deal with, experienced in this field, team of 3 workmen friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, a mention to Teo who was particularly helpful and hardworking (as were all 3) nothing was any trouble always found a solution, would definitely recommend using this Company.

Great advice and very quick response for initial quote, was able to get further advice on making the system to match my demands and needs. The system was fitted in two days and the staff were faultless clean and tide and very knowledgeable the electrician was an expert and and very thorough on all the final tests making sure everything was up to standard and safe !!! Since we were up and running we have had ZERO electric bills and exporting half of the solar produced !!! Wish I’d done it sooner, excellent company to deal with thoroughly recommend them.

Heat pump and radiators installed with hassle free service

I would definitely recommend S&P Renewables, for solar PV installation, based on my own recent positive experience of their work.
The team were friendly, helpful and efficient from start to finish, with a quotation for the required works for installation, all the necessary testing and commissioning.
The work was carried out very professionally and with clear explanations. The handover pack I received contained all the relevant documentation about the solar installation that I needed. The information in the pack will also be really useful for future reference for system maintenance, servicing and any warranty queries.
I am so glad S&P Renewables were recommended to me. I hope this review encourages other people to use their company too.

I had an ashp , immersion tank and upgrade of radiators installed at my home .
Ewan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about both products and instal but also accessing Home Energy Scotland grant /loan funding .
All work was carried out exactly as agreed , and tradesmen, Malcolm and colleagues completed work very efficiently, in fact of particular note was how neat and tidy instal was .

Due to my heat sheat source pump breaking down I contacted S&P ,engineer was on site same day ,great quick service, highly recommended.

I recently had solar panels and a battery storage system installed by S&P Renewables, and the experience was top-notch from start to finish.
The installation was handled by Teo and Sam, who were both professional, efficient, and clearly experts in their field. They took the time to ensure the panels were perfectly positioned and that the battery integration was seamless. They were happy to answer all my questions and left the workspace spotless once the job was done.
If you’re looking for a reliable team for renewable energy solutions, I highly recommend S&P Renewables—specifically Teo and Sam for their excellent craftsmanship.
