We had brickwork at the front of our property that had started to crumble. The damaged bricks were removed and replaced with excellent precision and skill. The result is seamless. After a little weathering the repair will be invisible. John Whelan turned up when expected and completed the job quickly and cleanly. Making major efforts to remove any and all debris from the job and leave the site of the repair as clean as possible. John was a very pleasant guy to have worked with to solve our problem and will recommend his services to friends and neighbours readily.

John removed and replaced an extensive number of crumbling bricks from the side wall of our house. He had done a similar job for our neighbour who recommended him to us. John did a very professional job, turned up exactly when he said he would, was easy to contact and kept us informed of the progress of the work. Very courteous and tidy worker. I would not hesitate to hire John again and highly recommend him to anyone looking for any brick work to be done.

Removed existing garden wall and replaced it with a red brick wall matching adjoining wall. Seen work carried out for a neighbour and was impressed by the quality of his work and how he completed the work continually until finished and tiding up after work afterwards. Spoke to the builder at the neighbour's requesting a quote from him which he did shortly after and which i accepted he then provided a period which he would carry out the work and followed up by an e mail with a starting date dependent on the weather and was pleased to receive another e mail stating the work would commence a day earlier. The builder took 3 days, demolished the wall and removed the rubble by skip and rebuilt then clearing the site completely ensuring the skip was removed on the day of completion. His workmanship is off the highest standard and he remained on site continuously throughout. i would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you John.

Great service from start to finish. Prompt to give a quote, quick to give a date to do the work and then completed our wall build very efficiently. John was great and cleaned up so well after the work that the patio looked better than when he started, would 100% recommend.

John replaced an external concrete windowsill on upper floor and had to erect scaffolding to do so. He arrived when he said he would and is an extremely tidy worker. We are extremely happy with his work and would recommend.

John repaired our garden wall he was very professional and completed the work to a high standard. He kept us updated from start to finish he cleaned up afterwards an exemplary craftsman at his trade. We contacted John via Renfrewshire Trusted Trader to see if he could remove our brick chimney. His workmanship and approach was exemplary. Of the other builders we contacted, he was the only one who actually offered to do some investigations before he provided a quote. His diligence - from initial investigations, to sourcing replacement bricks, to painting our fascias, to communicating with our neighbours - shows how much he cares about doing a good job and making sure we were happy. The results were impressive. He left a clean, tidy site (and this was despite the horrendous weather!), and ensured the skip was removed on the day he left. As others have indicated, John is a pleasure to have in your house.

After seeing the excellent work John carried out for my mum and dad with their garden wall and hearing how reliable, trustworthy and reasonable he was I contacted John to carry out some work for me. I moved my boiler and this left holes on the outer wall of my house. John turned up when he said he would and completed the job very quickly and to a very high standard. We were looking for a bricklayer to build our garden wall. I looked on here and found John (Whelan Builders) and I’m so glad I did. We had this building company in to repair bricks at the corner of our house which were showing signs of wear due to weather exposure.
The service was great. They turned up when promised and worked solidly to repair the area. They even managed to source bricks which are similar if not an exact match so the repair is barely noticeable.
We feel we have had great value for money and excellent service and would definitely recommend the company to others.

John carried out repairs to old stone wall at front of house. Very pleased with his excellent standard of work, nearly a week since work completed I have lost count of the people stopping to admire and compliment on the wall. All rubbish taken away area left clean and tidy. Highly recommend Whelan Builders and look forward to having John back in the future to transform the rest of our walls !
