Full loft space floored / new hatch / ladder etc.
Quick, efficient, tidy, polite.
Had awful experience in past with tradesmen but Ronnie & guys at Thistle restored my faith.
As a female I always find it daunting arranging work to be done in the house, but with thistle everything was made clear no nonsense no jargon.
Already got a list of jobs I will be using Thistle for in the future.

Ronnie and the team fitted a new kitchen for me as well as taking a wall down and stripping a sunroom back to the brick. The quality of work in the kitchen is excellent and the team gave my rundown and old fashioned sunroom new life.
They added skylights to the sunroom and built a bespoke seating bench with storage for me and it looks fantastic. The service was very professional and the joinery work involved in bringing my ideas for the kitchen and sunroom to life was of an excellent standard. I’m so pleased with my dream kitchen and it’s getting lots of compliments. My husband and I would highly recommend this company.

Howdens Doors fitted to extremely poor standard. Hinges do not sit flush. Door handles are wobbly and coming away from some of the doors. Door barrels on some doors are squint.

Unfinished oak doors were marked with black hand prints that have taken some doing to clean off. Not 100% cleaned off in some areas.

Sliding wardrobe doors do not run straight. Doors make a V shape gap when drawn.

We've had to hire other joiners to fix this mess. Received some money back after complaing. Not enough in hingsight to replace/fix damaged doors.

Had a garage roof fitted and kitchen floor replaced. Absolutely fantastic. I cannot recommend enough. Very friendly, helpful, reliable and honest. Workmanship is second to none. I will definitely be using them again. Thank you so much for a wonderful professional job...

On time every morning and additional trades arrived and carried out outstanding work, just as had been promised. Ronnie and his team at Thistle Contracts were great. A professional, trustworthy company who fitted our flooring and made and installed some alcove units. Used Thistle Contracts 3 times. First time to get a new banister installed and then new window cills and flooring done. Then a new kitchen. First class job done. Kitchen was done just after lockdown in the summer and took a little bit longer than expected but that was due to getting supplies. We were kept up to date with all aspects of the work. Very happy with the standard of work and cleanliness when job complete.

The bespoke bookcase exceeded my expectations and I am totally delighted with the results. The slatted shelving in the laundry cupboard is perfect, as is the hall cupboard shelf. Very pleased with all the work completed. Would recommend Thistle Contracts.

New kitchen.
Wanted to change the whole kitchen dining area. We have an older property and although we bought a fitted kitchen Ronnie adapted some areas to give us the extra storage we wanted. They were always on time and kept us informed on how the job was progressing. Really pleased with the end result. Will be doing more work in the house next year and will be arranging Thistle Contracts to do it.

Ronnie has carried out several jobs for us now all to an extremely high standard.

We had a new bath and kitchen ceiling installed by Ronnie and his team due to an insurance claim. They were amazing from start to finish with all work carried out from by his qualified, experienced tradesmen. All joinery, plumbing, electrical and decorative works was completed to an extremely high standard.

When i contacted Ronnie he came to see me right away and provided a quote very quickly.
Right of the bat i knew there was trust that he would do a great job and once complete im happy i chose to go with him.
Work was completed on time with no issues at all.
I got a staircase put in to my loft so as it was structural i was worried about it getting done and the safety of using it. I no longer worry and the stairs are solid.
On top of the great work, Ronnie was such a great guy, communication between us was great and thats my number one when looking for a tradesman.
I have already recommended Ronnie to others and i will continue to do so.
