Removing our old kitchen, taking down a load-bearing wall, installing a new window and fitting a new kitchen - all the work was well co-ordinated and organised. Robert and Gordon completed their work to an exceptionally high standard and aimed to keep household disruption to a minimum. Robert and his team of contractors did a brilliant job transforming our pokey kitchen and back kitchen into one amazing space. Taking down a wall, redirecting electrics, plumbing, plastering the whole room and levelling the floor.
Robert and his team turned up on time and worked methodology and at the end of the day the room was cleared and tidied. Considering the work that was done very little dust was transferred to the rest of the house.
We are so happy with the work done and the care and consideration shown by Robert. We would have no hesitation using Northbank Contracts again and will be recommending him to anyone who is looking for a professional builder.

Robert, Gordon and his trusty band of tradesmen added quite a large extension to the rear of our house and performed considerable changes to the interior, in what was around about 3 months for the bulk of the work, in some pretty adverse conditions outside, which didn't seem to bother them or even rarely slow them down. Robert is sort of like a master of all trades and jack none, there doesn't seem to be much he can't do to a high standard and I think I did my best to test that. From the start when I first spoke to Robert I already felt much more at ease with him than every other builder I'd been in contact with, that coupled with the 100's of 5 star reviews I was expecting the estimate to be out of my budget! To my amazement it was not and actually cheaper than many others. Despite last minute design changes (from myself) and some material cost increases we came in fairly close to the estimate and I was very happy overall.
I think Robert and Gordon must be the tidiest builders / tradesmen I have ever encountered, he's never without his trusty hoover! He's always got a solution to many problems I threw at him like re-routing mains risers late in the game, changing the size of islands and making units fit seamlessly like it was always meant to be that way. Another favourite was after I advised not to wire spots above the kitchen as I didn't want them and later changed my mind very late in the day... He'd already advised the electrician to do it knowing what would happen.

For selfish reasons and because I want him to do phase 2 of the renovations it pains me to say, if you don’t hire Robert and his guys for the job, then you’re an idiot. Robert, I will see you for phase 2, decaf tea and biscuits will be waiting.

Robert and his team did a great job which consisted of building works and fitting a new kitchen. They turned up on time each day and Robert kept us informed of what they were planning to do that day. They did their best to minimize any mess and cleaned up before they left each day. Very happy with the end result and the cost was very reasonable, would definitely recommend and use again.

I recently had a new kitchen installed by Robert and his trusty team of fellow traders and could not fault them in any aspect of their work. The project was completed in a very professional manner, to the timescale agreed and to my complete satisfaction.

Robert carried out repair work on the ceiling and walls around my recently replaced skylight. It sounds straightforward but it was a bit of a mess and in an awkward to reach spot. The finished work exceeded my expectations and the area looks better than it did before. Robert also left everything spotless. I can highly recommend him and would definitely use Northbank again.

Robert and his team completed an extensive kitchen/ dining room renovation for us and we are absolutely delighted with the result. Our work included the removal of a wall, lowering of our existing kitchen floor to make it level with the dining room floor, installing an additional step from living room into the kitchen area, installing bifold doors, bricking up old door and installing a window, installing 2 velux windows and the installation of a new kitchen. The standard of work was exceptional.
Robert is so easy to work with, he has such a friendly and pleasant manner and he will do anything to overcome any problems that may arise during the build. We had several issues but Robert took the time to work out solutions to overcome these issues which we were very happy with.
Robert is very skilled at what he does, a total professional and his attention to detail and cleaning standards are second to none. The hoover is always on and he constantly clears up after himself.
His team of plasterer, electricians and plumbers are great too.
I will certainly be using Robert again and have no hesitation in recommending him.

Robert is not only one of the nicest people you will ever meet but he is incredibly professional, meticulous and very reliable. Ours was a huge job with a wall being knocked down, a window being bricked up and a new window. We also asked for a herringbone floor which is absolutely gorgeous and although it was something which Robert hadn't done much of, he did a fabulous job. Every tradesman on the job worked to an excellent standard and were punctual and friendly. We are over the moon with our new kitchen and that's all down to the skill, work ethic and professionalism shown by Robert. If you hire him for a job, make sure you have a healthy supply of teabags.

I had a new kitchen installed and kitchen flooring laid. I was delighted with the finished result, the attention to detail and pride taken in the whole installation was clear.

I had my kitchen ripped out and whole new one fitted.

Robert came when promised, got stuck in and completely cleared my kitchen taking it back to a shell, he had the floor levelled, all new power points, gas fittings, water pipes moved, removed and fitted in the first couple of days. All work was kept within the kitchen area, I can honestly say that even though the place was an actual building site, there was hardly any dust anywhere else in the house to be cleared up after Robert’s genius way of getting rid of the dust!!! Hahaha.. (you need to see his ‘wafting’ to believe it!! Brilliant! But it works a treat!)!
The new kitchen was all checked when delivered and he kept right on top of all works, deliveries and progress while keeping me fully informed at all times and my kitchen was in and fitted in just over a week.! I honestly couldn’t believe it- have to admit I was sceptical as it was so close to Christmas but the kitchen was in and fully functional with all the tweaks needed to suit my crazy shaped floors - amazing!!! And well done - crackin job.

Robert and his team fitted a new kitchen and I couldn't be more delighted with the work. So much so that I've already booked him to replace my bathroom next year.

Robert projected managed the job effectively bringing in the electrician, plasterer and plumber when required and it all went like clockwork. Some extra work was required as the walls were more damaged than expected, but Robert took the challenge in his stride and the job was still completed on time.

I found Robert and his team to be excellent tradesmen, extremely tidy, trustworthy, flexible when faced with unforeseen challenges and a pleasure to have in my house.

Robert from Northbank Contracts replaced one of our bedroom floors which was riddled with woodworm. He removed and dumped all the old wood and laid floorboards and new laminate.
