Stuart and his team created and door between our house and garage. Survey was arranged and carried out quickly, as was the work itself. High professional standard with good communication throughout. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Stuart and his workforce have fitted a PVC front door for me, as well as windows and some small joinery work. I am very happy to use Stuart Hamilton Joinery for a few reasons. Stuart always either answers the phone or calls you back very quickly. He comes to see you promptly, going out of his way to get there quickly if it's an emergency, as it was today when my window wouldn't close in freezing weather. Stuart is very helpful and you can discuss your requirements with him, knowing that he is interested in the job. On the other hand you can just leave them to get on with the job knowing it will be done to a high standard, with no mess left. I'll definitely be using this company again.

Removal of decorative walls, investigation of sunken floor, remediation of walls and floors, fitting of new wood flooring and installation of new double sockets. From start to finish Stuart and his team have been in communication with me. Giving updates, checking any potential discrepancies and highlighting options. Contacted Stuart to see if he would be able to help with installation of insulation and plasterboard in the ceiling/ roof of our steading conversion. The ceiling is double height and 120mm insulation had to be cut, fitted between the existing rafters. Being an old building none of the rafters were alike, and most also had to be framed out to accommodate a 50mm air gap above. This was followed with bridging insulation and finally 12.5mm plasterboard to complete.

Stuart responded to my message (sent around 11pm on a Friday night) first thing the following morning. He was on site on the Monday to price, and by Wednesday his team were on the job.

This was not a trivial piece of work; I'd given up on the idea of doing it myself owing to the complexity and height involved, but Stuart's team just cracked on without complaint, working solidly for two weeks to complete. They also foamed out any gaps, taped the joints as I asked and did a great job boarding out the Velux reveals.

I'm very happy with the quality and speed and value of work delivered by Stuart and his team.

I have just moved to St Andrews and with chronic health conditions I needed someone who could assemble a new bed, mount a bathroom cabinet, and hang a large heavy mirror. From the get go, I was impressed by how promptly Stuart returned my calls and texts. On the day of appointment his crew turned up on time and were extremely courteous and helpful. They communicated whenever they needed my input instead of assuming what I might want. Great teamwork. Helpfully removed all packaging and left thee rooms very clean.

3 of the weight cords on my sash and case windows needed replacing because they had snapped, meaning that the windows could not be opened easily.

Mr Hamilton was a very considerate tradesman also being very careful to ensure that my home was fully protected from any damage while the work was being carried out. Mr Hamilton also kept me informed with the progress of the work at every stage. The job also presented with a number of problems during its progress but he was able to offer solutions for all them.
The only reason I have given a lower score for value for money is because Mr Hamilton’s company was the only one to provide an estimate for the work requested and therefore I had nothing to compare it with. However his quote seemed a reasonable price for the work undertaken

Removal of internal garden Fence, redesign and full fitting of master bedroom en-suite also redesign and full fitting of dressing room, creation of 2 x double bedroom wardrobe rooms, creation of false chimney wall with TV compartment and shelving either side, family shower room floor replaced, family bathroom WC and floor replaced, dining room wall wood panelling designed and fitted, 3 x floor plumbed radiators changed with wall hung replacements and finally flooring to loft. The work was carried out by Sandy and Innes, who provided outstanding advice and guidance. The standard of workmanship provided by both Sandy and Innes was of the highest standards. The project lasted 8 weeks of continuous work, the professionalism standards and customer care as well as interaction of both Sandy and Innes meant that we had a great experience. Thanks to both Sandy and Innes, I have no hesitation in recommending both these tradesmen and would use them in the future without hesitation.

We had a new kitchen fitted as well as new flooring, skirting boards and decoration.

The work was completed to a very high standard and in good time. Any unanticipated issues were dealt with promptly and with minimum fuss. The whole team who carried out the work were friendly and personable.

This is the second time we've used Stuart for a large home improvement project and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him and his team for any home improvements and/or building work.

Stuart's team have just finished building a new conservatory, replacing my old one. Excellent work despite it being a difficult one as building onto a 300 year old whinstone wall makes work complicated. This is the third time I have had work done by this firm so that speaks for itself. His team of joiners are perfectionists.

Stuart fitted some pvc doors and windows for me. More than happy with the finished product. Great guy.

Had a very small job to be done, contacted Stuart and within a couple days came and promptly got it fixed. I had contacted some other local handymen but none turned up. Iwill be using Stuart in future for any size of job.

I required a small job to improve the security of my mother's home and Stuart could not have been more helpful.
Communication was excellent, timely and when Stuart said he would be with us at 3.30, that is exactly when he arrived.
Masks were worn at all times and distances observed which was reassuring.

Very pleased with the responsiveness of Stuart. Pro-active in following up my initial call, then turning up to measuring the work when he said he would (that's a big deal these days) and ordering up the necessary material. He then arranged, within the expected timescales, a convenient time to undertake the repairs, undertaken by his employee Carl. Carl: Polite, pleasant and very competent. Work completed to my satisfaction, and I am fussy.
