Campbell was hired by my wife to create two built in bookcases with a hidden TV, a specialised built in desk and storage unit then lay laminate flooring throughout the room (8mx6m give or take). Campbell and John arrived together at 8:30am each day sharp for three days. Campbell estimated it would take 3-4 days and they finished prompt on the third day.

Campbell walked my wife through her options and made recommendations based on her needs and budget. She chose MDF for the furniture because she wanted to paint them herself and they will be getting heavy use.

I can't believe how well this build has gone. How smooth the process was. Campbell is really well prepared with a a gazebo he threw up in no time to ensure they had space to work outside when it rained. Nothing slowed Campbell or John down.

The finished article is better than anything I'd have envisioned myself. There were a couple of things that annoyed me about the room caused by previous tradesmen who had installed the French doors - Campbell and John fixed them as par for the course when they were installing the laminate. The room is immaculate now.

The bookcases look like they've always been there. Like they were part of the original vision for the house. We didn't design them. We gave Campbell the functional needs we had and made it work. This guy has artistic vision as well as being an exceptional joiner.

When the job was finished I started picking Campbell's brain about a couple of larger projects and how I would approach them. While we talked John busied himself in the garden clearing away the sawdust. Fair enough you might think except our garden is red chipped stone. He got a leaf blower and got rid of the sawdust with that because he wasn't content to leave any mess.

Finally to their character. Campbell is quiet, respectful and professional, while John is incredibly fun and they bounce off one another while they work. It is brilliant to see and hear. They work perfectly together and I've have them both back in a heartbeat. I'd happily leave them on their own to work in my home if need be and I'd probably feel it was safer than if it was locked up and empty.

Campbell and John did a fantastic job of moving an internal wall between our main bathroom and daughters nursery around about a year or so ago. They both also replaced our whole shower suite, fitted a new bath, sink and toilet.

The room looks completely different and is much more functional for a young family.

Both are very punctual and if there was any unforeseen issues due to the pipe work in our old house, he took these in his stride and sorted everything within budget.

Since fitting the bathroom, we had an issue with the electric shower system (which we did not replace when getting the bathroom done) and he has managed to get this sorted within a day of me contacting him.

5 stars for workmanship and for getting around to the job as soon as he can.

Would definitely recommend to anyone else out there who is needing any work done around the house.

First time I've had Smith Joinery, I had my downstairs bathroom refurbished. I can honestly say from start to finish it was absolutely outstanding. the work that asked for. Would definitely have them back again for more work. Can't fault them in any way, they always kept me up to date on everything that was getting done. New living room door fitted, excellent job, will use again

Smith Joinery carried out an extension, conservatory conversion and a kitchen refurbishment for us. They gave great advice throughout the project. Campbell and John are professional, friendly, courteous and hardworking. Nothing was too trouble and their quality of workmanship is excellent. We are delighted with our new kitchen and extension. We will definitely use Smith Joinery for any future work and would highly recommend them.

I had been trading emails with Campbell regarding installing a new back door with a microchip activated dog door, but when a family emergency meant I had to change the job to JUST the installation of the dog door as soon as possible it was truly a no job too small sort of situation. Campbell sent a lovely young joiner who was very concerned that we get just the right height for my dog to easily enter and exit. Jordan constantly swept up the debris as he worked so my puppy wouldn’t get into it then made the door extra water proof and sealed all around it to make it look nice.

(I did try to get a picture of the puppy using the door but she’s not too sure about it yet!).

Temporary repair to leaking gutter.

Despite some difficulty arranging a time (understandable given the current circumstances) the work was carried out promptly and efficiently and to a very good standard given it was a temporary patch.

No complaints and will definitely be using them again. Can highly recommend!
