We bought a small bungalow which needed totally refurbished - walls down/walls up, new kitchen, bathroom, glazing units, radiators and formation of en-suite, cupboard spaces and roof hatch and floored throughout. Also needed existing artex removed, plastered, painted and lighting.
Smith joinery/building were first class. Campbell came and gave us a very reasonable quote and started work when he said he would. All work was done properly to a very high standard. He organised other tradesmen when they were needed i.e plasterer and electrician which made it all very painless for us. He was also very accommodating when we tweaked plans.
All the work was completed on time, on budget and to a high standard.
We would highly recommend.

We have had a new banister installed and understairs storage cupboards. I initially sent smith joinery pictures I found online similar to what we wanted. We had a face to face consultation and were given quotes with different options to choose from. Excellent communication and very professional throughout the whole process. Wow! Two lovely gentleman came on the day they were meant to come. (Which is something for tradesmen these days!) They floored my attic to a very high standard at a reasonable price. Campbell only used the highest quality products and only employs the best sub-contractors. The end result speaks for itself – our new kitchen extension is stunning and even better than we had hoped for. And because we know it was made using the highest quality material, by joiners who have a passion for providing the best quality service, we know it will withstand the test of time.

This is the third time using Smith joinery and I think that speaks volumes on how great Campbell and John are as tradesmen. Very prompt. Always friendly and as a few other reviews have said, the guys work brilliantly as a team. Quote was very reasonable. Campbell is incredibly tidy and leaves the environment as clean as he entered. I spotted the Smith Joinery van working at a neighbours house and asked if he could do a few jobs for us. Campbell called round promptly and gave an estimate for time and price. We needed a ceiling roof repaired, door planed, garden gate fixed and new locks/ latches on all inside doors as handles were falling off! Work is now completed and the standard of workmanship and quality is exceptional. Campbell and John worked together on day 1 and Campbell finished the work on time and in budget over next 2 days.
I would certainly recommend and back next year to fit new internal door.

Campbell and John have just completed a full refit of my bathroom and upgrade to my shower room.
The result is fabulous and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Real value for money, work done to the highest standard, clean, tidy and utterly professional, as well as really friendly and a good laugh!
Previous work on both rooms was shoddy to say the least and every time they came across a problem they just calmly went about fixing it, and when I was a bit vague about what I wanted Campbell came up with really creative ideas.

I contacted Campbell for a quote to replace my gutters and facias. The quote was the most competitive by far. The work was done to a very high standard, the site was left very clean and tidy at the end of each day and on completion. The guys on site were the friendliest trade I've had at the house in a long time. I would definitely recommend them for any joinery work.

We had our new kitchen and internal doors fitted by Smith Joinery. They did a great job, were professional, punctual and tidy. We would definitely use them again.

Campbell was hired by my wife to create two built in bookcases with a hidden TV, a specialised built in desk and storage unit then lay laminate flooring throughout the room (8mx6m give or take). Campbell and John arrived together at 8:30am each day sharp for three days. Campbell estimated it would take 3-4 days and they finished prompt on the third day.

Campbell walked my wife through her options and made recommendations based on her needs and budget. She chose MDF for the furniture because she wanted to paint them herself and they will be getting heavy use.

I can't believe how well this build has gone. How smooth the process was. Campbell is really well prepared with a a gazebo he threw up in no time to ensure they had space to work outside when it rained. Nothing slowed Campbell or John down.

The finished article is better than anything I'd have envisioned myself. There were a couple of things that annoyed me about the room caused by previous tradesmen who had installed the French doors - Campbell and John fixed them as par for the course when they were installing the laminate. The room is immaculate now.

The bookcases look like they've always been there. Like they were part of the original vision for the house. We didn't design them. We gave Campbell the functional needs we had and made it work. This guy has artistic vision as well as being an exceptional joiner.

When the job was finished I started picking Campbell's brain about a couple of larger projects and how I would approach them. While we talked John busied himself in the garden clearing away the sawdust. Fair enough you might think except our garden is red chipped stone. He got a leaf blower and got rid of the sawdust with that because he wasn't content to leave any mess.

Finally to their character. Campbell is quiet, respectful and professional, while John is incredibly fun and they bounce off one another while they work. It is brilliant to see and hear. They work perfectly together and I've have them both back in a heartbeat. I'd happily leave them on their own to work in my home if need be and I'd probably feel it was safer than if it was locked up and empty.

Campbell and John did a fantastic job of moving an internal wall between our main bathroom and daughters nursery around about a year or so ago. They both also replaced our whole shower suite, fitted a new bath, sink and toilet.

The room looks completely different and is much more functional for a young family.

Both are very punctual and if there was any unforeseen issues due to the pipe work in our old house, he took these in his stride and sorted everything within budget.

Since fitting the bathroom, we had an issue with the electric shower system (which we did not replace when getting the bathroom done) and he has managed to get this sorted within a day of me contacting him.

5 stars for workmanship and for getting around to the job as soon as he can.

First time I've had Smith Joinery, I had my downstairs bathroom refurbished. I can honestly say from start to finish it was absolutely outstanding. the work that asked for. Would definitely have them back again for more work. Can't fault them in any way, they always kept me up to date on everything that was getting done.
