l had my roof refelted and insulation boards fitted, the work was carried out to a very high standard and l was always kept informed as to progress as the weather was very variable. the workmen were very polite and tidy.
l also appreciated Steve arriving at the appointed time to discuss what was recommended and l appreciated his advice and guidance , Kelly was also very helpful as the work progressed keeping me updated. ln summary l would say a job well done by a competent company. The roofing crew worked continuously for three and a half days. They were very professional and friendly.

I had an extremely severe case of condensation in the loft space of my 11 year old bungalow. I had used SM Roofing in the past to successfully repair/ replace parts of my conservatory gutter system and so called Stevie for advice on my condensation problem. He arrived next morning at the agreed time and carried out an inspection of my roof and my loft space. He came to the conclusion the problem was due to lack of ventilation and suggested removing a dozen roof tiles (large roof area) & replacing them with universal vent tiles. He gave me a call that afternoon to say he had sourced vent tiles in a matching colour & gave me a price for the job which I agreed to. A week later Kelly called to arrange a date for fitting. The boys arrived on time on the day and explained the job in detail. All the work was carried out externally on a freezing cold day and on completion asked me where I wanted the removed tiles stored. There was no mess left and the boys even refitted 2 displaced hip tiles which had slipped out of position some time ago. Great service. After 3/4 weeks the loft space is bone dry. Not a trace of condensation. Magic. I would use this company again and definitely recommend them.

Guttering and facings had to be replaced on my brick-built garage. The work involved the removal and replacing of roof tiles. Really nice job. Very pleased.

Having battled with leaks in our 40 year old tiled roof and 20 year old flat roof for several years it was time for both to be completely replaced. I needed work done on my stairwell, lintel and chimney and found it very frustrating trying to deal with tradesmen who couldn't even be bothered to return my calls much less come to give an estimate! I knew immediately that SM Roofing & Building were a different sort of company. Stevie (the boss) turned up exactly when he said he would, spent time having a thorough look at the work needing done, and my (very reasonable) estimate was with me the same day. When I had a couple of queries, Kelly in the office was friendly, organised, fantastic to deal with and responded straight away.

The work carried out has been done to a very high standard, and the guys doing the jobs were punctual, professional, very pleasant and left the place immaculate after them. Communication and reliability were excellent.

I had a new roof, gutters, soffits and fascias installed.  Everyone from Stevie to Kelly and the tradesmen were very helpful and have done an excellent job.  Kelly went the extra mile to ensure no delay in installation and advised alternative tile solution as production of original tile was scarce. Tradesmen were very tidy and cleaned up after themselves.  I would have no hesitation in using them again.

Reliably came out when requested/arranged to provide a quote and then completed the work within a relatively quick timeframe inline with the quote. Work of a good quality.

The very old roof on our cottage was in a bad state of repair. There was water ingress every where that you looked. S M Roofing and Building Ltd carried out a superior job, and the quality of the work is tremendous. They are a very enthusiastic and cheery team of roofers. They worked hard, and were always polite. We now have a dry and water-tight building, with lots of natural light due to the new Velux windows. All the skew stones have been finished in lead, as are the gully's. It just looks amazing, and has given the cottage a new lease of life. We have had numerous positive comments from neighbours, with particular emphasis on the lead work.
If you are thinking of a new roof, or roofing repairs then you are guaranteed excellent workmanship with this company.
