PTree were called in to provide Tree Surgeon works on our development in the East Neuk of Fife. From the outset the communication with the Company was excellent but initially we selected a cheaper quotation from an alternative Contractor.
This turned out to be a huge mistake, we were continually let down by this Contractor to the point we went back, cap in hand, to PTree.
Thankfully they responded to out plea, fitted us into their crowded schedule, and performed the work in the most professional manner. They had all the correct equipment and licences, staff were extremely courteous and worked hard from the moment they arrived on site. They continually checked that we were happy as the work progressed and despite overrunning on their projected hours stayed on till the work site was cleared of all debris, even using blowers to disperse the sawdust from their cuts.
In summary, you might get cheaper quotes but I doubt you will find a better more professional service to do the work!

Annual cutting of large mixed hedge. I have used Ptree for many years and for a variety of tree/hedge work. They always provide a faultless, friendly but professional service. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Two trees needed trimming and trunks cut on the larger one. The work was carried out by the agents very efficiently and quickly. They had pride in the work done and left the garden clean and tidy, with all the debris removed.

The men were civil and cheerful and keen to make a good impression and spent time making sure the result of their labours suited me and the result is very impressive.

Cut down large dead tree in our back garden They had the right equipment for the job. Chipped all the branches and left the garden clean and tidy

A large copper beech tree in my garden had to be reduced in size and a multi-bow sycamore tree removed altogether. Jim initially came round, assessed the situation and recommended the work required, clearly and sensibly. The quotation for cost was reasonably priced and in line with guidance for similar work found on-line. The work was subsequently carried out to a high standard by a team of two, who both took time to meet me and explain their actions as the work progressed. Afterwards, the site was cleared of debris. The is the second time that I have contracted PTree in recent years and on both occasions they have provided an excellent level of service at a reasonable price.

Over the last four years or so, I have used this company for work on or beside outbuildings, garden maintenance, hedge cutting and tree pruning. Its owner has high standards, and felt obliged to cease the building work and garden maintenance as it became after the March 2020 lockdown increasingly difficult to get good staff. I hope he can return to garden maintenance sooner rather than later.

A large tree with a small fungus infection was pollarded, two vastly overgrown evergreen shrubs were well-pruned back and a tall, rotted fence post was replaced.
On initial inspection, Jim explained and discussed the issues and solutions to all the items listed. His approach always has at its heart, both the health and welfare of the trees or shrubs, and also their ultimate appearance; their shape, balance and the new canopy of fresh growth.
After the work was completed, Jim and his colleague left the site looking immaculate.
All personnel, including Claire in the office, are always courteous, friendly and professional.

Apple trees pruned and cypress tree removed.
All the apple and pear trees were pruned and brought into shape from their previous overgrown and messy appearance. The cypress tree removed completely. All the debris was removed with no mess left behind in the garden nor on the street. The workers were easy to talk to and happy to discuss and answer any questions.

Claire in the office was always pleasant and willing to work through some communication problems I was having through my own fault.
Altogether an easy company to work with.

Pruned and tidied up trees, cut hedge. Worked carefully around plants. Cleared everything away.

PTree removed two holly bushes and a huge cyprus from a fairly constricted space in my garden. They also cleared the stumps and left everything clean tidy and ready to plant. They also planted and took great care to orient optimally a replacement ornamental cherry. It was a pleasure to watch the work. I really appreciated the friendly care and attention to detail. P-Tree is our first choice of tree surgeons for regular trimming etc required on our common property of a block of flats in St Andrews Fife where we have 11 large trees with preservation tags. They carry out the necessary work required after inspections by a local arborist. I thoroughly recommend them.

Brilliant work by Jim and the guys. They removed two trees, put in a pond and a fence. We Love the pond and the fence looks fantastic. They worked really hard and efficiently. Nothing was too much trouble. There was constant communication and they were very nice and friendly. I would use them again and would reccomend them 100%.
