Norrie and team took down a large (70') diseased lime tree in our garden, ground out the stump, chipped the branches and left us (at our request) a large pile of wood chip for mulch, and cut the rest into rounds for firewood. Very quickly and efficiently done! Would be happy to use them again in future.

We had maintenance done on 2 large oaks - Norrie's team worked safely, efficiently and really knew their stuff. Our trees should now be safe for years to come, would happily recommend.

Norrie' team pruned 6 tall and wide hedges for us. These were mostly cherry laurel plus beech, hornbeam, and conifer hedges. We have used Norrie for 4 years now and he runs his team well and does a quick and excellent job. All clippings are chipped on site and the gardens are left tidy.

Felled 2 trees in our garden and shredded all the branches etc. Done quickly (in half an hour), efficiently and tidily.

Annual trim of both sides of a well established conifer hedge about 50 metres long and 4 metres high. Job completed with a team of 5 guys in about 3 hours to a high standard. At the end of the job I was guided through the work they had done and was well pleased with the result and the fact that all cuttings were properly removed and disposed of.

Norrie Sloan Tree Services safely removed a tree that had been damaged in a storm and was rotten. It ground the stump away and took away the remains of the tree to dispose of. All good, the team arrived when we were told it would and just got on with the job.

Have used Norrie Sloan Tree Services before and found them very reliable but latest time was in an emergency during storm Gerrit when tree in garden fell and landed on shed and car. Within half an hour of phone call Norrie came out to assess situation and returned within hour to deal with tree and car was removed pretty much unscathed thanks to him. This was during rain and strong winds. Cannot recommend highly enough. Great team and professional standards.

I have used Norrie and his team for a number of years now to assess and trim/remove trees and giant hedges/shrubs. They have helped to improve the condition of my very large oak and dealt with both routine maintenance of the trees on the property as well as occasional emergency work. They are always professional, knowledgeable and reliable. I find them to be efficient and easy to deal with.

Norrie Sloan Tree Services have done various work on our Estate over the years and we have always found them to be a very professional and efficient team. Their knowledge and workmanship is outstanding and we would not consider using anyone else.

1. Felled a large Ash tree suffering from dieback. Cut the trunk and branches in sizes to our request.
2. Stump reduced to ground level with grinder.
3. Cut overgrown Laurel hedge in height and width on three sides of our property.
4. Removed all brash and neatly stacked the wood from the tree.

We have used this company in the past and as their work was excellent then so there was no hesitation in selecting them again. Once more we were very satisfied with their work. An excellent job, expertly done by a professional team.

Two trees were felled, one close to a boundary wall. This was taken down piecemeal to avoid collateral damage to other shrubs.
Other trees were trimmed to remove interference of branches with phone line. Roots of the two trees felled were ground out.

We had 2 enormous Cyprus trees removed & two crowned. It was amazing to watch them work with so much precision. Such a nice, professional team, unbelievably quick & they left everything immaculate. This company has worked for me on numerous occasions over last ten years. Latest job was completed yesterday. A silver birch massively reduced in size. rotten tree removed, several others either lowered in height or heavy branches removed to reduce weight and risk. Everything completed quickly efficiently and safely. Site left cleaner than when they arrived.

Norrie Sloan Tree Services have undertaken a variety of work on different scales on the Estate over several years.
Each time, they have proven to be a very professional and efficient team, and their work is of a very high standard.
In a nutshell, we would not even consider using any other company.

Norrie Sloan has undertaken work for me on four or five different occasions ranging from taking down approximately 30 trees in a small overgrown wooded area to individual trees that posed a risk to my or neighbours houses. Some of this was removal of complete trees and some cutting back heavy limbs or dying wood. He also ground out tree stumps/roots left in the garden. It was important to me that there was no risk to my neighbours property during the work and I had total confidence that this was the case. His workers are mainly family members and thoroughly reliable, friendly and VERY hard workers! The working area in the garden was left clean and tidy. They arrived exactly when they said they would and worked quickly and efficiently. I have just arranged another tranche of work and have no doubt it'll be carried out just as efficiently and safely.

Crown lifting at low level and working at height, tree felling, removal of caught up and windblown trees, chipping. Working in challenging locations and public areas, with all risks managed competently and site left tidy as required.

Brilliant workmanship and very tidy.

Norrie Sloan did a great job in 2 days, removing approx 15 trees in total with some very tall and some rotten. The trees were removed from a garden adjacent to a street with around 4 car park spaces which had concerned me, but the team took care of this and my concerns dispelled. Cost was also competitive. I would use again without hesitation.

Very helpful from the start, pre-work visit included advice and estimate. Started on time with cheerful work party, cleared and tidied away nicely. Altogether a very good job all round.

The work I had done was to top and tidy existing hedges. Tidy smaller trees bushes etc. Crown reduce Eucalyptus trees. Remove some Eucalyptus stems. Strim grass areas etc to tidy garden. Chip and remove all from site.

When I contacted Norrie for a quotation, he turned up on time (in fact he was early). I walked around my garden discussed what needed to be done and he was professional and nothing was a problem. I received his quotation, promptly, by the end of the week. I had contacted and received three other company quotations and Norrie's was the most competitive quote, (almost half the price compared to one quote I received).

On the day of the job, Norrie and his men turned up on time, worked hard through some terrible weather, and completed the job in a timely manner. Having gone through a difficult time during lockdown it almost brought tears to my eyes to see the difference made within my garden. I am a very happy customer and would not hesitate to recommend him and his trustworthy team to others. My sincere thanks again to Norrie.

Norrie Sloan's team have trimmed and shaped a number of tall and wide cherry laurel hedges for the third year running. The clippings are chipped on site and removed which is essential for us. The team works quickly and efficiently and are cheerful even in the pouring rain! (which was the case this year. I highly recommend NSTS.

A great job done efficiently

We asked Norrie to remove a large beech tree in my mum's garden and he did a very professional job. The team arrived on time and got to work quickly and efficiently. They spoke with neighbours on the street and directed them around work being undertaken. The tree was removed and the garden was completely cleaned up as was the street. The team deposed of all waste and then rebuilt my mum's wall where the tree had caused damage. I would recommend Norrie to those looking for a trained arborist.

Norrie and his team felled four 60/70 feet conifers for me and did an excellent job. They are well equipped with all the gear to do the work quickly and efficiently and they all get stuck in and work hard.
They tidy up after the work has been done and you'd hardly know they'd been here ( apart from the missing trees!)

One medium sized tree and one small one removed from the garden ( they were too close to the house). Company arrived soon after my online enquiry and provided a quote for the work. Team of workers and equipment arrived on the agreed date and they swiftly removed both trees and tidied up afterwards. Excellent service and job very professionally attended to. I only gave 4 stars for value because I did not seek other quotes and have nothing to compare the cost with. Don't think it was much above average.
