Ian & his team did an outstanding job on our roof back in May and I subsequently listed a well deserved glowing review -
We further managed to secure their services to apply new Harling to our bungalow - this work having just been completed.
I can only reiterate my praise for their standard of work and professionalism throughout. Being ex trade myself now retired, and a specialist at restoration work I am indeed somewhat pernickety on standards.
All I can add is that they have excelled in every aspect of the project.
Everyone now thinks we have built a new house !! The overall effect & finish is superb.
One word descriptors don't do enough to describe what I now dub "The Barrett Team experience".

Extensive new lead work on a roof and bay window, partial re-slate at one part of the house and complete re-slate with new lead skews and flashing at another part. Georgian farmhouse with some parts over 200 years old.

Had my roof cleaned by hand with a wire brush as tiles were very porous. 3 tiles were replaced and pointing carried out at the apex. Very pleased with the price which was over £100 cheaper than other companies. All debris was taken away and work done to a high standard. Very quick from request to completion - so reliable- and would definitely recommend.

New dormer flat roof,facia, guttering,skews renewed,tiles replaced,2nd time I have used Ian and the team,first class service from start to finish, quality workmanship at a good price,I wouldn't use anyone else now.

Bought the property one year ago when we moved back to Scotland knowing that some work was needed on the roof - now retired ex trade myself I knew exactly what work was required - dormer roof repairs - new flat insulated roof to both sections, replace 'cheek' slates with high quality plastic t&g + insulation, new leadwork to gullies & flashings, some new guttering and other small incidental repairs/replacement slates to main roof.
I ran a successful business for 30 years in renovation & restoration work to listed buildings with recommendations throughout keeping myself and team very busy with no need to advertise.
I cannot praise Ian and his team high enough for every aspect of the works they have completed - exceptionally high standard, always on time, excellent communication throughout and an absolute joy to have on site.

Indeed a rare find who can be trusted throughout.
A measure of their professionalism & care must be highlighted in that I arrived home the other day to find some of the team on site - they were just passing and noticed a dislodged slate up on the roof which they were rectifying as a matter of course.
I am now trying to book Ian and his team for further work, but as always when you are excellent at what you do you are inevitably very busy.

Excellent and efficient work. Complete re tiling , guttering etc on a five bedroom detached house in 2016.

I added a 15% tip when settling the invoice as I was so impressed and felt he had undercharged.

Ian Barrett refused to accept the extra beyond his quote.

I used him again subsequently to replace cast iron guttering etc in a three story grade B listed property and again work was excellent.

Love the roughcast work that was done to my house, wall and garage. Workers were more than helpful, even doing extra odd end jobs that they didn't need to do. Couldn't fault any of them. Would definitely them again for any other work needing done.

Ian and his team re-roofed our property and roughcasted the walls with rendering done on the facia brick we wanted covered.
Roughcasting and roofing can cost a fortune and Ian's price was the best we'd received in a competitive market. The guys were professional, efficient and let me know updates every day on what the next step was.

I hired Ian Barrett in to do a flat roof of a working space I had created at home. I literally cannot fault this company at all. Various plaster work, roofing work, PVC fascia and rough casting

Fascia , soffits, gutters and downpipes replaced on double garage. Concrete removed from edges and replaced with new plastic verge. All moss was removed from roof. All debris was removed from site. Nice guys, worked well.

Came to survey the job when he said he would and then his team turned up prompt, every day as promised, done a fantastic job on my roof and rough casting, very polite and left a clean site at the end of every shift. Would thoroughly recommend.

Ian and his team have carried out work on many of my challenging projects over the years in way of Roofing, Roughcasting and Plastering. Being very particular myself Ian and his team deliver work with meticulous care and attention to an excellent standard of workmanship.
