I had all the guttering replaced on my cottage recently. A well organised company who did a very professional job with the minimum of fuss. Very pleased with result would definitely recommend in the future.

After failing to get any positive response from my usual roofer for almost a year I contacted Ian Barrett. I was very pleased with the initial meeting with Ian and was duly presented with a quote for the work which I accepted. I had a few leaks from the dormer roof area that required replacement of corroded galvanised roofing sheet with new modern insulation and membrane, replacement of side flashing and repairs to gutters and downpipes. Timber fascias around the flat roof were replaced with UPVC and PVC trim fitted to the front of the dormer. A full overhaul was carried out on the roof and a rooflight was replaced with a Velux window. The work was completed and cleared up within a week. Many thanks to Ian and Jackie who kept in contact throughout the work and to Greg and the rest of his team for the excellent work, nothing was too much trouble for them and it's great to know that there are still some REAL tradesmen around.

Ian and the team did a briliant job replacing a cracked concrete window sill and renewing blown rendering and pointing. They also fixed blocked and broken gutters, roans and roof tiles, and blocked up and plastered over an internal fireplace. The quality of workmanship is excellent and delivered efficiently and on time. Ian's prices are very reasonable and he provides a complete breakdown of the costs of each part of the job, which I much appreciated. I had a window changed, new rendering to the building and a new conservatory roof.
I found the whole team helpful, friendly and they were very enthusiastic in their work despite awful weather.
I am always apprehensive about big projects like this but it was all handled very well from Ian’s first visit, Jackie in the office and the team on site. They were good at keeping me informed, answered all my questions and worked hard throughout to complete the project.

We were kept well informed with problems discovered during work on both roofs. Photos, and descriptions were presented plus inspection by self were a continual process of progress during the work
The written contract of work and verbal description and state of progress by the foreman was faultless. The weather could have been better, but the workers battled on and completed the work quicker than I had anticipated.
Their attention to safety was admirable, as was their removal of debris. I look forward to the work of slate replacement due in April and my wife and I have full confidence in the companies ability.

Having tried to employee 4 roofers, over a 9 month period with each of them letting us down, I contacted Ian Barrett Roofing Ltd online and within 90min Jackie called me to get more details and arrange an appointment. From that point onwards, our experience has been completely different, Ian was honest from the outset regarding his pricing and the timescales, setting clear expectations. Clearly neither Jackie or Ian can control the weather, which delayed the start, however we were kept informed and work started ASAP. The onsite team were just brilliant and although the second member changed daily, Jock ensured there was a consistent delivery. A great work ethic, consideration and quality of workmanship was demonstrated by everyone over the 3 days. Finally, a key part of any trade, is the tidying up after the days work or when the job is complete, this was done to a standard I've not experienced before and I really appreciate it. Ridge tiles needed replaced and fixed back down due to wear and tear and storm damage. Liaised easily with Jackie, Ian and their team to have the work done quickly and efficiently before any more damage could happen. Will absolutely use again for any repairs or replacement work we would like carried out.

I had one tile on my garage roof split and break due to frost damage. After my initial call, I had a couple of chaps appear within a few days. Jackie phoned in advance to let me know what day. It turned out to be an edging tile that was damaged, so Jackie sourced one locally and the roofers went off to collect it. They were back promptly and had the new tile in place in no time at all. The tile was at the top of the roof and held in place by the ridge tile, and so it required a bit of re-cementing. All in all a good job done by two good tradesmen. No complaints at all, oh, and the price was very reasonable.

Everything about the process, from getting the initial quote to the work being completed on time was extremely professional. The work was done to a very high standard.
What I didn't expect when I got the final invoice was that it was less than initially quoted as Ian and the team had found they did not need to put in as many roof vents as initially thought, which was extremely honest of them.
I can't recommend them highly enough.
