We had a new kitchen, lighting, radiator and floor installed by Allan and his team. They did a first class job start to finish. Any issues quickly sorted. Allan is a perfectionist and spotted things he wanted to improve we didn’t even notice! He also always made himself available to us if we needed him.

Can’t recommend Allan and his team enough! We firstly had our en-suite totally refurb’d and are absolutely delighted with the end result. It’s all a bit daunting trying to envisage how you think everything will look when picking out wallboards/flooring/bathroom furniture, fixtures, etc., but we really appreciated the advice and alternative suggestions that we were given to ensure that we ended up with exactly what we wanted. So much so - that before redecorating, we quickly realised (knew) that we needed to update our bedroom by renewing our very tired fitted wardrobe doors. And again - we couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
The guys turn up when they say they will, offer different/possible solutions to potential problems, keep within budget AND tidy up afterwards … what’s not to like!!

The team were on time in the morning, worked hard each day and cleared up before leaving.
The herringbone floor is amazing, and well worth the money.

New kitchen, flooring, lighting and ceiling done. Really good job, very trustworthy and reliable. Went over and above and thoroughly recommend. Allan organised everything from getting the skip to skimming the ceiling.
A couple of snagging issues were very quickly dealt with no issues at all. All I had to do was sit and wait for the job to be completed so I could choose my paint colour!

Repair of electric shower. Allan organised the electrician very promptly within an hour of calling. Graeme, who attended was very professional throughout the visit and kept us informed of his assessment and what work was needed. Overall very happy with the service provided by Allan and Graeme and would definitely use again.

Security light supplied and fitted by Graeme. Old defunct light removed and correct wiring applied for new model.
Checked everything out and set the timer etc for the light.
Graeme did a great job and I was delighted when night came to see the difference a decent security light makes.

Moved into an older property and required some work to correct and update our wiring and consumer unit. Guys were great, came out next working day to review, received quote within couple days and work carried out 2 days later. Mathew was great, explained issues he had found and what would be required. Work was carried out quickly on the day, just feel bad he had to squeeze himself into the smallest cupboard ever to do the work. Would definitely recommend this company and will use in the future.

Got some sockets replaced and added, and a slanted bathroom ceiling lowered, with downlights and a smart looking pic cladding over it. Also a new extractor fan for the bathroom. Very high quality of work produced, all workmen involved were polite and let me know timescales etc of each job. Overall very happy with the work done.

The electrician and apprentice, Lewis and Devon, did a fantastic job; they were professional and finished to a very high standard. They changed my consumer unit, rewired my kitchen and oven, changed location and fitted all my lights. I liked that they advised me on how things should be located from a safety point of view but also listened to how I would like to see my kitchen.

Allan and his colleague came at the time they had arranged. They listened to my needs and made suggestions of their own which helped get the right products for changing our door locks
Quality of the job was first class and after having such a bad experience with tenants they lifted my spirits with ensuring my property was secure and safe and gave great attention to detail that both locks worked well and also looked good as we have a Victorian property

I phoned on behalf of an elderly service user where I work and the guys were so nice and arranged to come look at the problem the next day. They arrived and helped fixed the problem for free as it was only a half an hour job. They then contacted me telling me they had been out and fixed the problem. Got Bain and Sons to come in to fit our new kitchen from Wren. Being an approved Wren fitter they were the obvious choice. Allan Bain came to survey the kitchen prior to commencing the work and I was very impressed by how thorough and knowledgeable he was, even making some recommendations that I wouldn't have considered myself that I then took to my Wren designer. When work commenced, his team of tradesmen came in over 4 days and did a superb job of fitting our kitchen.
Would definitely use Bain and Sons again and recommend them to anyone else.

Fabulous work by Allan and his team. They carried out remedial repairs to a kitchen from Wren and came to us late Friday afternoon and worked until after 8pm til everything was sorted. Super immaculate work and the place was so clean and tidy afterwards. After 4 months of kitchen hell they swooped in like 2 superheroes and got the mess sorted. Very polite and funny and l would defo recommend the Company to any of you out there.

Recently moved into property and needed an electric check. Phoned Allan and it was arranged the same day. The Electician, Lewis, was amazing. Very polite, thorough, hardworking and kept us informed throughout. Needed a new fuse board and a socket for the washing machine which was done the next morning by Lewis. Extremely happy with the prompt service and the quality of the work carried out. Will be using the company again for other work in the future and would highly recommend them.

Allan and his team took on our kitchen fit after we were let down by another fitter and I'm so glad they did, pointed out things to me that hadn't been in our pre fit/survey and we amend as we went. There had been no organisation or communication on previous fitter so the guys came into a nighmare, but they cracked on and got on quickly. We aslo had a nightmare of an electrician too and I decided I didn't want to continue with him and Allan swiftly got me another who was little more expensive but we were happy as clearly knew his work and carried out the job to a high standard. A couple wee delays but that was due to suppliers but Allan got things ordered and kept me up to date. I'd definitely recommend these guys ,on time, polite, hardworking and treated my house with respect at all times. Repair leak in bathroom - I found Alan Bain & Sons on Fife Councils trusted trade site. Being new to maintaining our property and commissioning works I was nervous of finding someone trustworthy and was definitely not disappointed. Alan was professional right from my first call and made a quick appointment for me and kept to it. He was friendly and efficient and had the problem fixed within forty minutes start to finish at a very good price. Apart from being good at his job he is a genuinely lovely person, so much so that I asked him his advice on refitting my bathroom which he gave freely and sent me some supplier links to browse. I will definitely be asking him to do work for me in the future and cannot recommend him highly enough.

Fantastic company couldn't recommend any higher. Rewired the hole of my upstairs and sorted out the wiring in the fuse box done with no fuss. I had wood panels installed on the walls in the hall and landing, I also had flooring done, in the hall bedroom and landing all facias and skirtings were replaced. Wet room panels and ceiling in bathroom were also installed.. I would recommend this trader, as I found them to be professional, very efficient, arrived at the stated time, worked from the minute they arrived. They done an excellent job, cleared all the old skirting etc and left the house tidy.. Also the quote I was given was spot on.
