XKY Energy installed a 50kW ground-mounted solar array at the Glencorse Centre in Auchendinny. Zoltan Sinka was the primary contact and he proved to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
Though it has just been commissioned the array is working extremely well, knocking out lots of kWhrs in even poor winter/early spring conditions. It managed a peak of 48kW at the end of February!
I should also say that this project was only made possible because of a substantial grant from Local Energy Scotland, for which we are very grateful.

We had underfloor heating and air source heat pump installed in our house refurbishment project. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff .

We had a Vaillant 12KW Arotherm Plus air source heat pump fitted at our house to replace a 30 year old gas boiler. This required a heat loss calculation to be prepared for the property, specification of new radiators and specification of heat pump.
XKY performed all the preparatory work to a high standard taking care to explain the process in an easily understandable manner. This was very important to us as we were retrofitting heat pump technology to an existing property and we had to be reassured it would work. Tibor was very patient in answering all of our questions and a quote was prepared timorously.
The installation took place over two weeks and the radiator and heat pump installers were all very polite and friendly and again were always available to answer questions, clearly understanding the technology. The installers took pride in their work and were very good at leaving a tidy, clean workplace at the end of each day keeping disruption to a minimum. The Directors of the company also visited the installation works from time to time providing added confidence in the process.
Following completion of works, minor snags were attended to quickly and without complaint.
The heat pump has now been installed for two months during which time we have experienced the coldest winter for several years with temperatures dropping as low as -9C. Throughout this time, the heat pump has exceeded expectations in heating the entire house in an economic manner.

XKY have carried out several maintenance checks and a few repairs on my heat pump.
They arrive at the agreed time , they keep me fully informed of the work carried out , and itemise everything on the invoice .Both the engineers and the receptionist for the company are polite and efficient and clearly try to resolve any issues I have had . if they can't answer the phone in the first instance that will ring me back

Annual boiler check - very pleasant tradesman and completed thorough job

We have a pellet burning boiler which has been serviced by XKY for years. On several occasions we've had problems and Sam has been fantastic in sorting these out. For one problem in particular we'd tried three local plumbers first, none of whom could fix the issue, but Sam did. It's expensive but worth it for reliable and high quality service.

Firstly, I have used this company for the installation of an Air Source Heat Pump. The work and service was excellent. The work, which is the subject of this review, was initially instigated as I believed it was connected to the ASHP but that turned out not to be the case. The engineer who attended quickly ascertained that the damage was caused by mice having eaten through plastic pipes causing water to leak onto the floors. This was quickly rectified and the pipes concerned were replaced by copper ones and advice was given on future proofing this problem. They attended same day and came back the following day to rectify a minor problem. Contact was maintained through their very helpful office staff (Hanan take a bow) and the engineer via mobile.
They are a small company but take pride in their work and customer service.

These guys really understand the heat pump business and how to fit the most suitable unit or each house. It is a very complex field and many companies in the UK really do not fully understand the technology... These guys are good.

Regular annual air-source heat pump service. This is the third service and Sam the engineer has always been extremely efficient, friendly (and dog-friendly), knowledgeable and informative. The entire process of booking an appointment through to receiving the invoice is friendly, staightforward and unproblematic. I'd have no problem with recommending this company and have already done so to several neighbours who have all expressed satisfaction with the service.

XKY Energy have been servicing my biomass boiler for more than seven years and I have seen the company grow. I have always received a first class service from them. They are extremely proficient at what they do. Biomass boilers are not simple and require a high degree of specialist knowledge and expertise to keep them running efficiently. XKY have a simple booking system, a text alert for the engineer's arrival time, and good office back up - the phones are always answered promptly. They deal with breakdowns and emergencies quickly and effectively. They are an excellent service provider.

We had an Air Source Heat Pump installed in October 2022. This was to replace the existing Oil fuelled system. Prior to installation potential problems were identified in respect of pipe spacing in the existing underfloor heating system installed 23 years earlier and potential solutions identified. Another company refused to install a system unless I could confirm the pipe spacing but they made no attempt to investigate this. XKY took steps to do this so I could make an informed decision. This was typical of their approach in keeping us informed as much as possible.
They are not a big company and cover a big area in terms of area and types of installation, which can sometimes they attend as soon as I wood have liked but the quality of work was worth waiting for. We also got them to rectify a problem with our solar installation, which they did not fit.

I have used XKY for a number of years to do regular servicing and system upgrades. They are excellent and have no hesitation to recommend.
They are currently quoting me for a Solar Panel system install - I am confident they will do a great job.
