Repairs were to a flat roof extension. We had a couple of leaks that two other roofers had failed to repair. David Kay was very knowledgeable and pointed out several deficiences in the building work that could have contributed to the leaks. He applied sealant etc. This seems to have sorted out one leak but the other has reappeared occasionally but not recently here's hoping!
His charges seem high but if it works then I'm happy - we've already "wasted" money with others to little or no benefit.

We would use him again.

A great team, they came out to look at a leaking 40 year old flat roof and fixed it while they were here. They found the leak was mainly due to other reasons and they re sealed part of the roof edges.
Very relieved that we didn’t need a new roof!

New rear roof dormers x 2, and a general tile main roof revamp. A truly excellent service resulting in two superb new dormers at the rear of my house and a main roof than no longer leaks. All debris was completely cleared leaving my home spotless. A highly recommended trader - I could not have asked for better.

Gutters cleaned thoroughly of excessive moss, slime and dirt due to close proximity of large trees near the property. Have used W.H.Kay a number of times now for this type of roof and building work and found them to be punctual, reliable, trustworthy and very good to deal with. Additionally, no mess made and all residues removed from site.

The late March & early April rain caused my roof to leak & rain water to come into my hall.
I contacted a couple of roofing companies, but only William H Kay treated this like the emergency it was.
They asked for photos of the external & internal areas, after which they advised me what would need doing & the expected cost, which I accepted, & David turned up a couple of days later.

He did an amazing job of clearing away decades of rubble & found numerous problems in the section involved, all of which he photographed to show & discuss with me before he carried out any work, then took more pics afterwards, & what a difference, & everything seems fine again, so money well spent.

I paid my bill today, & because I will certainly use them again, I also sent them an email asking to be added to any waiting list they have, as well as detailing another 3 jobs I would like done this year.

We have used W.H.Kay several times for repairs to our roof over the years. They are always quick with communication, reliably turn up, reasonably priced and do an excellent job. We recommend them to everyone.

Three new windows fitted in one day - all done very efficiently and cleanly. The quality of fit and finish inside and outside around the window frames is excellent - we're very happy with the result. The windows have made a tremendous difference to the warmth of our house too. We'll certainly use WH Kay again for further home improvements and would recommend them.

Roof tiles replaced in a timely manner and they left the area clean and tidy.

Very fast response to a request to repair storm damage. Will definitely use again if roofing work is needed.

David Kay was the 4th trader we had out to look at a long-standing issue with an overflowing gutter under our eaves.

However he was the first to properly investigate, even setting up a hosepipe to fill the gutter to see where the issue was.

He also took the time to clear the gutter of debris to check that wasn’t the cause of the issue. On the first visit he also noticed and addressed a few slipped tiles on the roof.

David then provided an estimate for the work (1/7 the cost of a previous estimate from another company) and returned within a week to complete it.

Key works:
-Removal of cement around the Gutter along the problem area and removal of approximately 10- 14 tiles replacement with new tiles.
-Supply and fit of new cement board to hold new cement in place and away from top edge of gutter to allow us to lift the gutter up slightly to prevent from leaking.
- re cementing between tiles at front to prevent birds from entering roof space.

I found WH Kay to be far superior to any other companies that came out to assess the job. They clearly are very experienced, extremely trustworthy, and actually interested to get to the bottom of issues and fix them. I’d wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone struggling to identify a firm they can rely on for a quality job

I had Alan and David come to check my roof and clear the gutters. Although very busy, they were able to fit the work in quite soon after I had made the original request. They are very punctual, undertook the work and took all materials away with them.

I have used this company a no. of times over the years for large and small jobs and have always been happy with their work and professionalism so would highly recommend.

Very high winds caused the ridge on roof to break and fall drown. Text David and he came next day to make it safe. He then came back to fix ridge and cement round, also seal up other ridges to stop wind and rain getting to them.

David and his brothers are reliable, haonest, hardworking tadesman. They have done many jobs for us and we are always delighted with the completed tasks.

Both are always polite and very pleasant to have in / around the house and have no reservations in recommending them.

We had a problem with water penetration from around our Velux Window. They promptly replied to our call for help. David came and thoroughly investigated the problem. He showed us what they planned to do and then did it. So far, no problems with the fix.

We also asked them to look at a problem with our gutter. David diagnosed the underlying problem with great care and then did a repair which hopefully will do the trick.

Throughout, David was easy to work with. He was constructive. It was a pleasure to deal with him.

(1) The work that was carried out was to replace a broken down pipe, supply new down down pipe with all the fittings, then fix to the wall.

(2) Repair a broken gutter with a new section of gutter, and seal.

(3) Adjust down pipe by lifting up to meet the existing outlet and secure to the wall.
