Replacement of rotted window sills and repair to split wooden step on oak stairs
Alan and his team were very prompt and carried out the repairs quickly and very well.

I had 5 internal doors renewed and work done in my kitchen. New worktops,sink and tap,replacement sink unit and new drawer unit and shelving unit installed and replacement upstands and plinths.

Alan and David arrived on time every day and worked like beavers while they were there, working to a very high standard and great attention to detail. Their work ethic is second to none. I would recommend them to anyone .

Steading refurbishment. replace rotten window with new. Cut out rotten wood on 4 doors, replace and treat with preservative. What was falling to pieces is now good for several years. They quickly assessed what was required, kept us informed of the lead time before start and competed the work in the estimated time & price.

We had a blocked down-pipe on a double-height building. The blockage caused cascades of water on to the walls during heavy rainfall.
Mr Kay attended despite having a heavy workload and worked hard to clear the blockage but was unable to do so on the first visit. He returned within days and spent a considerable time on the job which eventually required the removal and replacement of some cast-iron piping.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the firm of W H Kay.

Alan and David have now done three pieces of work for us. The latest was the removal of an old garage which had an asbestos roof. Alan arranged all the necessary with the third party contractors who were removing the roof. As always he was great at communicating with us too, ensuring that we knew exactly what was happening, when and what was needed. Alan and David took the block work down and as always left the site spotless. This pair have an eye for detail, they are great craftsmen and totally trustworthy and reliable.

General repairs on roof and particularly to counteract water penetration in bedroom. Problem seemed to be solved but we still had some water penetration and Kay’s we’re back within hours to assess the situation and a few days later made time to get to the root of the problem and fix it.

Very nice job done removing an old and re-building a new cupboard in our bathroom to house water tanks and underfloor heating control gear etc. Quoted promptly for the works, gave an estimated time to do the job and then was able to fit us in quicker when a gap appeared in work schedule. Alan and William restored our faith in tradesmen after a bad experience. They were professional from point of providing the quote to finishing the job. We had new patio doors fitted. David was able to provide us with a quote very quickly and also managed to install the doors for us earlier than expected. David and his team were excellent and made a beautiful, neat job. I hope to use him again later in the year for double glazing throughout the house.
