Fitted the job in at relatively short notice and did a really tidy job completed to a high standard.

Repaired faulty cement work in roof valley, checked over roof and replaced some broken pantiles.
I have used them several times for joinery and roof work and, once again, they were excellent.

W.H. Kay renewed a corner of plastic guttering at the front of our house, and also reset and stuck in place a couple of lose roof tiles at the rear of our house - due to wind damage.

This company had done some work for us in the past to a very satisfactory standard, and as a result we had no hesitation in contacting them again to do these most recent repairs. They respond to your e-mails. They admit that they are very busy with work, but they will make time for you, if you are willing to wait a few weeks for the work to be done. Unlike some companies nowadays, they are able/willing to do small repairs/jobs - not just the big jobs. So we would very much recommend them.

Replaced cement on gable and repaired and improved drainage on gutters at roof level. David was very honest and straightforward about constraints in scheduling work and willing to negotiate around start times. Performed work to high standard in time specified and cleared up well and kept to estimate on quoted invoice.

David Kay has done several jobs for us over the years, all highly satisfactory. This job was the replacement of two windows in difficult locations in a historic building. They came on time, took great care and did a fine job.

David and Alan replaced all the guttering and facias at the extension on the back of my house. This turned out to be quite a job as the original builders had done a terrrible bodge. David and Alan had to install roof timbers which should have been there in the first place, which took extra time and effort. Despite the setbacks and the rain they did a great job, and were cheerful and accommodating throughout. I feel reassured that they have made it all good and it will last for a long time now, and it looks great! Thanks to both, a pleasure to do business with.

Clearing gutters and fixing defective part of gutter.

A sun pipe was installed. Alan was not available straight away as he had other work booked. I took this as a good sign and so it proved. When the work was done Alan, and his helper, turned up at the agreed time and date and carried out the task in a cheerful and friendly manner. The job was completed in the agreed time frame and they tidied up afterwards. All in all I am highly satisfied with the work done and would recommend Alan to future customers.

Repairs were to a flat roof extension. We had a couple of leaks that two other roofers had failed to repair. David Kay was very knowledgeable and pointed out several deficiences in the building work that could have contributed to the leaks. He applied sealant etc. This seems to have sorted out one leak but the other has reappeared occasionally but not recently here's hoping!
His charges seem high but if it works then I'm happy - we've already "wasted" money with others to little or no benefit.

A great team, they came out to look at a leaking 40 year old flat roof and fixed it while they were here. They found the leak was mainly due to other reasons and they re sealed part of the roof edges.
Very relieved that we didn’t need a new roof!

New rear roof dormers x 2, and a general tile main roof revamp. A truly excellent service resulting in two superb new dormers at the rear of my house and a main roof than no longer leaks. All debris was completely cleared leaving my home spotless. A highly recommended trader - I could not have asked for better.

Gutters cleaned thoroughly of excessive moss, slime and dirt due to close proximity of large trees near the property. Have used W.H.Kay a number of times now for this type of roof and building work and found them to be punctual, reliable, trustworthy and very good to deal with. Additionally, no mess made and all residues removed from site.

The late March & early April rain caused my roof to leak & rain water to come into my hall.
I contacted a couple of roofing companies, but only William H Kay treated this like the emergency it was.
They asked for photos of the external & internal areas, after which they advised me what would need doing & the expected cost, which I accepted, & David turned up a couple of days later.

He did an amazing job of clearing away decades of rubble & found numerous problems in the section involved, all of which he photographed to show & discuss with me before he carried out any work, then took more pics afterwards, & what a difference, & everything seems fine again, so money well spent.

I paid my bill today, & because I will certainly use them again, I also sent them an email asking to be added to any waiting list they have, as well as detailing another 3 jobs I would like done this year.
