Our roof was given a general overhaul and repairs carried out as necessary, as well as repairs to our guttering which was leaking and bowed. From enquiry on this website to providing a quote to completing the work was approximately one week, which was great service. Stuart and Stuart were both fantastic, working extremely hard to complete the job. We would definitely call them again if required, and had no hesitation recommending them to our neighbours.

Stewart removed chimney pots for us. Very reliable. Work done to a high standard. We highly recommend Stewart.

Guttering was ineffective and was removed, levelled, sealed and refitted. One section that leaked was replaced. Downpipe was unblocked and drainage from downpipes investigated. Lead flashings applied to stonework to enable controlled runoff of rainwater. Approximately 25 metres of guttering was removed, cleaned, new brackets fitted and levelled, guttering replaced, resealed and checked for correct function: this all in one day. The following morning the flashing was fitted, the leaky length of guttering replaced and the drainage from the downpipes investigated. Communication was good and the only variation from the original quote was due to the leaking length of guttering that had to be replaced. All work was completed to my satisfaction and the area left clear overnight. Based on my experience, I would happily recommend Stewart and his services.

I contacted Stewart as we had a leaky cast iron gutter that needed fixed. He came out to look at the problem the next day and gave us an estimate and explained what needed done. He said he was really busy but would be back in a couple of weeks, and true to his word he came back, sorted the gutter for us and even cleaned it out. I would definitely contact Stewart again if we had any roofing or gutter issues.

Roof checked over and repairs carried out. Stuart is very reliable, and his communication is great. Very happy with the work done, cost and timescale. Would recommend.

Over the years I have used Stuart Allison for repairs to our roof in Dunbar. He has always turned up on time , been very polite ,explained the issues that need attended to and how he would do the best repair. He is a very experienced Roofer and has always done excellent work for me at a reasonable price. I would recommend Stuart for any roofing job big or small.

Stewart was great with his communication before and during the works. He showed up as agreed and has done an amazing repair to our roof and guttering. Exceptionally polite, honest, professional and nothing was a problem. The site was cleared in a manner never seen, they even swept the slated roof before finishing!

We had these guys out to take a look at an issue with our roof - they were open and honest about the fact that they couldn't help us out (turns out was a very specialist roof), gave great advice and pointed us in the direction of someone who might be able to! Would definitely recommend.

Over the years, Stuart has undertaken extensive roof repairs on our cottage, and following heavy rain causing a leak of water in the bathroom ceiling I noticed a couple of misplaced roof tiles. Although this might have appeared to be a small and insignificant job to many roofers, Stuart came the next day. He diagnosed tracking from a Velux window and promptly set about repairing the lower sill. He then went on to replacing some worn-out tiles and associated pointing.

This was clearly a bit of a bigger job than I initially suggested and relied on his skill and willingness to promptly respond. For the time and effort required, the repair was excellent value for money.

I shall certainly ask him for help in the future and recommend reliance on his services.

Callout for emergency repair following Storm Arwen - ridge tile insecure - arrived in less than 30 minutes. Subsequently repaired storm damage to roof. We have used Mr Allison several times and have always been satisfied with the quality of his work.

Stewart fixed the guttering on my upper villa flat. He has also replaced the cills on my bay window and fitted chimney caps.During the recent storm water came through a light in my kitchen.Stewart quickly responded to my text. He phoned the next morning and arranged a time to visit. Problem was promptly identified and missing tiles were replaced. Repair work was also carried out around chimney. Can't fault his service!

Have used Stewart several times. Good price, excellent work and always turns up when he says he will. Replaced a flat roof in February and reattached the bird house roof without being asked!

Recently had two jobs completed by Stuart. Installation of dry verges to ends of house ( a bungalow) on the gable ends and cleaning ridges and repointing where required with colour mortar. Very pleased with the results. He had replied to my enquiry promptly and managed to fit me in between doing larger jobs. It was obvious that he had had many years of experience in doing this sort of work.
I would not hesitate to call him again for any roofing work.

Garden art studio roof required complete strip back and repair using suitable materials (which the original was not). Stewart suggested that instead of traditional felt a rubber roof material would be better and longer lasting, but slightly more expensive. We agreed on the rubber roof and he was able to do the job with the help of joiner. Both were good experienced workmen with the requisite knowledge and gave good advice. I would use them again for any roofing work.

Stuart provided an excellent service. He was quick to contact me when I enquired through trusted trader. He turned up when he said he would and kept us informed of progress at all times. Would definitely use him again and would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Chimney repointed and ridge tiles fixed as well as other work completed on roof. Stewart did an excellent job for us. He got back to me quickly after my initial call and communicated to me what work would be carried out and when. The quality of the work was to a high standard. I can thoroughly recommend S. Response to my phone call was excellent as there was rainwater coming in through the chimney flashing! He arrived quickly and the quote was done immediately and repair work carried out a few days later. Other problems with loose ridge tiles sorted out as well. Very pleased to have Mr Allison doing the work. A very reassuring experienced roofer who was able to not only mend the roof but gave us advice about looking after a roof on a bungalow where moss is a problem. Fully recommend this trader for his knowledge and skills.

Stuart didn't supply the cheapest quote, nor the most expensive, but he seemed a genuine guy who knew his stuff. (I've used a 'cheap' roofer in the past [not Stuart, I may add] and was left with a bad patch-up job after I was told that more work was needed than originally quoted for.)
Stuart listened to what I was wanting done - to clear off the cement on both sides of a gable end replace with new in order to prevent water leaking into the house - then did it and did it well.
Stuart is easy to get on with and a hard worker and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
