Attended promptly when I became aware of damage to dry verge caused by high winds. Became apparent that underlying problem was poor quality work carried out by a DIFFERENT company a few years ago (who had falsely claimed to be a Trusted Trader) As I have used J & D roofing on several occasions since, and been very happy with their work, I took advice to have all the dry verge replaced, which they did promptly.

Garage roof recovered.
Quick response to request for estimate then offered a date to do the work within one week. Removal of old felt revealed that some woodwork needed replacement. This was done and the job completed within a day. Standard of work looks good and site left clean and tidy.

Had a leaking gutter, called them and they came out the same afternoon and sorted it. Very friendly, professional and their bill was very reasonable, would certainly recommend them and would not hesitate to use them again.

Really happy with the work J&D did repairing a leak in our roof in Gullane. Prompt, thorough, and great value.
We also took the step of recommending them to an elderly friend who had some problems with leaky roof and overflowing drains - she asked us to pass on her thoughts because she was thrilled with their work, their concern for her (especially during Covid) and their attention to detail. She will use them again, as will we.
We would absolutely recommend J&D to others - especially anyone a little hesitant about asking for quotes and worried about being taken advantage of. This is a company who we would recommend both for their excellent work and their great customer service, and we are still giving out their contact details to friends.

Cutting a long story short, I called John out when plumbers sent by my insurers twice failed to find the source of a water coming in through my wall and ceiling and said the problem was the roof. It took John just a few minutes to find a leaking heating pipe and no evidence of water coming through the roof.
I reported this back to the plumbers, who out came out a third time and still insisted there were no pipes in my attic just cables and that this was a roof issue. I then phoned John who spoke to the disbelieving plumber and quickly came out a second time to confirm.
The upshot is that a different plumber quickly fixed the pipe by which time had been leaking for over three weeks. Thank you very much indeed.

We called out J and D Roofing Services for an urgent leak into the Meeting Room at Muirfield Riding Therapy, West Fenton. They came within half an hour, identified the problem very quickly, were friendly and courteous. Plus, the work was identified as a plumber’s issue, they didn't even charge a call out fee. Definitely would use again.

Repairing and securing pitched roof above bay window. John responded and assessed the repair required less than 24 hours after contact, safety measures were in place the next day and repair completed by the end of the week. Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to use again.

Lead flashing around chimney treated and made good, Couple of broken tiles replaced.
Hopefully this has resolved a long-standing problem that other roofers had failed to diagnose and deal with.

Small leak attended to and rhones cleaned . A relatively small job completed with the minimum of fuss by two pleasant individuals who had the required expertise.
