John's team replaced an out of date and poorly repaired flat roof and added insulation.

After moving into to our home, we discovered an historic leak where the flat roof extension met the main slated roof. I contacted John initially to take a look at repairing this leak. On inspection, John recommended that due to the age, condition, and nature of a historic repair, that it was better to replace the entire roof. This was in line with advice received from other roofers. John's thoroughness in explaining options and how the team would approach the work, along with the time he took to inspect the roof in detail, reflected the high quality work delivered by his team.

John's team were all very polite, friendly and professional, and worked solidly for a day and a half to replace the roof, and cleaned up throughly after themselves.

I would not hesitate to recommend John and team, and we will use them again.

J & D Roofing have inspected our flat roof every two years since we bought our property eight years ago. In that time, they have always given us a very clear and realistic report of the state of the roof. This time - as had been predicted would happen around this point - wear and tear, resulting in water ingress, required that the whole roof needed to be renewed and, ideally, insulation added for the first time. The inspection took place in June and now, by late August, amazingly the work has already been completed, to the highest standard, by a group of professionals who were concerned throughout to do the job well and to our satisfaction. At short notice repaired a loose roof tile that was leaking water into the house. They completed this work on an inspection assessment visit which was great. Returned as agreed to attend to a separate issue with roof flashing. Great local service, happy to recommend.

The gable ends on our old house needed extensive work. J&D roofing were excellent from start to finish, carrying out the work to a high standard for a really good price. John and his team replaced the roof on an old garage which was built in a non traditional way requiring the team to do a lot of preparation before being able to lay the roof. They also rough casted the front of the garage where old rough cast had come off and repaired other parts to match the old render. They did a cracking job and we were delighted with the finished roof.

John and his team were absolutely great. We had been left in a really horrible situation by another roofing contractor and John literally came to our rescue. He was fair with the cost considering the speed at which we needed the job started and the quality of the end product.

The finish is excellent and he caught a few additional items that other trades hadn't completed, which kept the work moving and took some of the stress away. Following recent storm I contacted J&D to see if someone could come to remove overhanging roof tiles as they were in a dangerous position. They came out within a couple of hours and removed them (Even although it was still a bit windy) I also received an estimate for the repair works required the following day.

I had a leak in the roof of my house. I contacted J&D after unsuccessfully trying to get the services of two other traders. I was really pleased when the first guy came round on the day to look at the damage. Not only that but he sent a couple of lads round to do the work in the afternoon, so everything was completed on the day. I am very happy with the work done.

Rainwater was overflowing from a gutter, the problem was diagnosed and fixed by adjusting the gradient of the gutter. Weeds and moss were cleared from the roof and 2 fine settlement cracks in the roughcast were filled. Replace existing roof with new sarking, membrane and tiles. Excellent service from John and his team, from the itemised estimate within 24hrs to the invoice which matched the estimate with no hidden surprises. Very friendly and efficient team who completed the job in 4 days during which temperatures reached 30 degrees. They turned up on time and worked all day every day and once work was completed they left the site as they found removing all rubbish, sweeping and hosing the paths. Our roof was very badly damaged in Storm Arwen, with loose felt flapping dangerously. John attended the day after (Saturday) to make it safe even though he was really busy with other call outs. He then provided photos and a quote quickly for insurance purposes and carried out the repairs very quickly following approval. Despite quite a few issues with the roof, the team carried out a difficult repair very professionally, always keeping us abreast of the issues they were facing and clearing all the debris from the site. I have had quite a few roofers in the past, John’s work seems to be better quality and good value. He always did what he said he would, which is a good start!

Remedial work after Storm Arwen. Fascia to rear slope of roof removed; new timber batten, PVC fascia board and verge fitted (with all fixings and fittings). The work was well organised and done in good time. We have no reason to believe it was not completed to a very high standard (we were away at the time, but our neighbours were very impressed with the workmanship). My thanks for removing all the associated debris from the site and for a very good job done.

I have been using J&D roofing for many years for both my own property and others I managed in the past.

When I noticed on a Sunday that a water was getting in through the roof of my bay window, I contacted J&D Roofing through their website. I had a rainwater leak through a dormer roof. Following contact, John attended within a couple of days carried out a thorough survey of the rear roof of my cottage, finding a number of broken and displaced slates and a broken cement skew at the base of a chimney. I received a prompt and reasonable quote for the repair work which was undertaken three weeks later. Johnny and his colleague did a thorough job,explained what had been found and dealt with and checked that I was happy with the work. All debris was removed and watergates and gutters cleaned. They examined roof round tall chimney - located the faulty area - - the ceiling had fallen down on the landing below. - a lath and plaster ceiling. Workers went up and properly examined and made safe the roof and sealed the leaking area extremely well.. Quick, efficient and very thorough and pleasant.

Attended promptly when I became aware of damage to dry verge caused by high winds. Became apparent that underlying problem was poor quality work carried out by a DIFFERENT company a few years ago (who had falsely claimed to be a Trusted Trader) As I have used J & D roofing on several occasions since, and been very happy with their work, I took advice to have all the dry verge replaced, which they did promptly.

Garage roof recovered.
Quick response to request for estimate then offered a date to do the work within one week. Removal of old felt revealed that some woodwork needed replacement. This was done and the job completed within a day. Standard of work looks good and site left clean and tidy.

Replaced a flat roof in just over a day. Very friendly and efficient. Apart from the new roof, you'd never know they'd been here! Very pleased.

Blocked down pipes were cleared. Given the heavy snow and freezing temperatures I was impressed by how prompt and efficient the trader was.
