John's team replaced an out of date and poorly repaired flat roof and added insulation.

After moving into to our home, we discovered an historic leak where the flat roof extension met the main slated roof. I contacted John initially to take a look at repairing this leak. On inspection, John recommended that due to the age, condition, and nature of a historic repair, that it was better to replace the entire roof. This was in line with advice received from other roofers. John's thoroughness in explaining options and how the team would approach the work, along with the time he took to inspect the roof in detail, reflected the high quality work delivered by his team.

John's team were all very polite, friendly and professional, and worked solidly for a day and a half to replace the roof, and cleaned up throughly after themselves.

I would not hesitate to recommend John and team, and we will use them again.

Replaced 2 skews and 1.5m of sarking, battens and membrane.
Did a great job although there was one issue, but the gaffer soon sorted that out.

Overall they did a very good job. Arrived on time with their own scaffolding and worked away with minimum fuss and unnecessary noise. Tidy and cleaned up well and finished the job quickly and removed the scaffolding straight away. The price seemed fair, and good in comparison to other quotes I got. I will definitely look to use them again.
Only slight mark down is on the communications; a bit slow in responding to emails/calls at times.

J & D Roofing have inspected our flat roof every two years since we bought our property eight years ago. In that time, they have always given us a very clear and realistic report of the state of the roof. This time - as had been predicted would happen around this point - wear and tear, resulting in water ingress, required that the whole roof needed to be renewed and, ideally, insulation added for the first time. The inspection took place in June and now, by late August, amazingly the work has already been completed, to the highest standard, by a group of professionals who were concerned throughout to do the job well and to our satisfaction. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you!

We got new guttering from J and D Roofing .We had to call a worker back recently ,as discovered leak - this was 3 years later .Fixed promptly at no expense so wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this firm as aftercare second to none -a rare occurrence nowadays .

At short notice repaired a loose roof tile that was leaking water into the house. They completed this work on an inspection assessment visit which was great. Returned as agreed to attend to a separate issue with roof flashing. Great local service, happy to recommend.

The gable ends on our old house needed extensive work. J&D roofing were excellent from start to finish, carrying out the work to a high standard for a really good price. They also left the area around the house very neat and tidy and took all the broken slates, bags etc. away with them. Will definitely use the company again and recommend them to friends.

I can't recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, the entire experience was exceptional. I called in a state of distress with a roofing emergency, and was greeted on the telephone by a lovely woman who promised me that she would try to help. When John showed up at my house, he made me feel at ease and I knew I was in good hands. The problem was clearly explained to me, and I was more than happy with the resolution.

J&D Roofing responded very quickly to my request to have a leaking roof fixed.
The work was done tidily and without any fuss.

Replacing ridge tile, re-cementing another one that was loose, general re-pointing, checking overall roof after high winds. Contractor clearly explained what work was required, carried out work quickly and efficiently, cleared debris, very friendly employees. Have used J&D before, and will use again as required.

A super job on the roof, replacing rotten timbers,applying felt and re-slating. Work was neat and everything left tidy. Super customer service. Would highly recommend.

I’ve used J&D Roofing a number of times over the last few years, most recently in April this year to sort out a number of problems with guttering, stonework and slates. John and his team replaced the roof on an old garage which was built in a non traditional way requiring the team to do a lot of preparation before being able to lay the roof. They also rough casted the front of the garage where old rough cast had come off and repaired other parts to match the old render. They did a cracking job and we were delighted with the finished roof.

As always - John’s team were excellent. Very responsive. General overhaul of roof after all the storms. Found and replaced over 30 slates - and provided some good feedback for other work we need to think about.

John and his team were absolutely great. We had been left in a really horrible situation by another roofing contractor and John literally came to our rescue. He was fair with the cost considering the speed at which we needed the job started and the quality of the end product.

The finish is excellent and he caught a few additional items that other trades hadn't completed, which kept the work moving and took some of the stress away. The team in general really battled through, even when the weather wasn't the best. We really appreciated the effort that was put in to get us water tight.

I would highly recommend J&D roofing and my only regret was not using them in the very first place.
