George and son Ross carried out a full refurbishment of a much loved house/home. This required removal of existing fixtures throughout. A substantial task. Discussion of work was open and quotes were clear. With an older house requiring work there were unexpected things that popped up that required attention. This was communicated. It was a very good experience for such an extensive project....where information/opinion was given, feedback given and work progressed. As it was quite a project I would also like to very positively comment on the cooperation with electrician Mike and painter David and the results. George and Ross finished the house to a wonderful standard. Bathroom and shower room were fresh and finished to a very high standard of fittings and work. The kitchen is superbly and accurately executed. The laminate flooring is immaculately laid. Other work was excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending on work, skill and reliability.

We were so impressed by the quality of the work George Herkes completed for us. He transformed our top landing well above our expectations. We have asked him to do more work for us.

He was very helpful in the moving of a kitchen, reconfiguring existing cabinets and modifying. He was able to bring in additional trades to complete the job. He was able to change plans when the job required it especially working in an old property that required constant fixes and even fixed bodged jobs from previous contractors.

George carried out a range of jobs from installing cupboard interiors to constructing solid book shelves. He and his son did a great job and I’m very happy with the results which make a huge difference to my house.

Wardrobe extension with new doors,extra rail and shelves. George done a brilliant job fitting the new extension to the existing fitted wardrobe now looks as one continuous wardrobe. Replaced 5 internal doors, very happy with the work done.

Boxing in of hot water down pipes for new gas central heating system and new wooden slatted shelves made and fitted into former hot water tank cupboard.
Job well executed with good finish to walls ready for painting. Shelves fit perfectly and make good storage for what was formerly a wasted space. Would defintely use this joiner again and/or recommend to anyone who asks.
