East Coast Carpets

I have used East Coast Carpets previously. good choice of carpets, and under felt. Experienced advice regarding best choice for each floor type, etc. Family company also local in East Lothian.

Both currently, and previously, good quality carpet and under-felt, the fitting excellent good fitter, I would recommend this company.

The only slight improvement would be to ensure clear communication with customer if any changes in dates etc. take place. Likewise, during Covid.19 restrictions, co-operation with other trades as regarding keys where empty property.

Would highly recommend, reasonable price for quality of carpets, under-felt, and fitting.

Quality of this service was amazing. The installing time was crazy quick and both employees were really friendly. Before both Kraft they asked to look at the carpet to make sure I was happy with it which I was.
The reason I have selected a 4 for customer service & reliability was due to not being able to close the bedroom door and it wasn’t until I did some online research to find out that I needed to get a piece from the bottom of the door removed which wasn’t passed onto me. When I called the shop they informed me that I should had been informed but they couldn’t get someone out to me the same day to do this where I then had to pay for an external joiner out with the company to attend same day.

Apart from this issue I would 100% use again and recommend to anyone wanting a fast service, fantastic carpet and friendly staff attending.

The East Coast Carpet company team at the Prestonpans store provided us with top quality customer and sales services, and included fair advice on the range of their current carpet selection. We had our flooring fitted promptly, and the two gentlemen that came to fit were very friendly & efficient.

We have had an excellent experience with East Coast Carpets, a new vinyl floor in the kitchen and carpet in one bedroom. From the first visit for a measure up and quote, to understanding we wanted to wait over Christmas to commit, to booking in and the few hours of work to fit it all, we have been absolutely delighted. Helpful and friendly staff with a lot of experience and knowledge. And an incredible price point compared to other potential fitters. We would absolutely use them again for any future work.

My wife called them but they said they would have to call her back. They DID. They made arrangements to send an assessor out. He turned up when they said he would. They gave us a date and time for installation. A three man crew turned up when we were told they would. They were friendly, fast, and efficient. Some service! I would definitely recommend.

I ordered a stair carpet from East Coast Carpets, initially salesman Steven, very helpful. We were quoted for the new carpet, underlay and 3 threshold bars. We were told they didnt quote separately for the items, and as we wanted these items, we went ahead and arranged a fitting date. We also arranged for the old carpet to be removed and disposed of at an extra cost. The date arrived, a carpet fitter attended, given covid status, had no face covering, no plastic overshoes and no gloves on. The job was not completed on the agreed date as carpet fitter didn't have the right tools to finish the job. First failure. Second time they came back There was 3 of them in my house, no face covering, no plastic overshoes or gloves. They fitted a new carpet over old underlay,leaving the old carpet lying in my hall, but, surprisingly took the new underlay away. On contacting the shop, and speaking to Steven, I was met by exscuse after exscuse, in fact his after care attitude was uncaring and couldn't care less. The third time they came to my house after several phone calls, a visit to the carpet shop and 3 days later, the carpet was fitted and all with new underlay. I still do not have the threshhold bars, which I paid for and No apology for the poor service or inconvenience. NOT TO BE TRUSTED TRADERS.

I had carpets fitted in my living room, bedroom and hall. Carpets are lovely and the initial customer service was good however the way my flat was left was not okay. Nails just left lying about. The cupboards in the hall where forgotten (simple mistake and was corrected) the cupboards that where done the carpet fitters had left a lot of glue sprayed up my freshly painted walls and skirtings, when asked to fix it they said they didn’t have the stuff in the van but would pop back at the end of the day - never did. There was a large lump in the carpet and when pulled back found 2 bits of wood with nails sticking out. Wouldn’t use again simply as the carpet fitters just didn’t take care/pride in the finished product.
