Both the measuring of rooms and subsequent fitting were carried out on time with a phone call 30 minutes before the appropriate appointment time, this was reassuring.

No hesitation in using them again or recommending them to potential customers.

Swung by here to replace bathroom vinyl. Despite the small store they have loads of options, was quick, great value and the fitting guys were great [as we have some really awkward corners. Really happy and will be using again.

We have had an excellent experience with East Coast Carpets, a new vinyl floor in the kitchen and carpet in one bedroom. From the first visit for a measure up and quote, to understanding we wanted to wait over Christmas to commit, to booking in and the few hours of work to fit it all, we have been absolutely delighted. Helpful and friendly staff with a lot of experience and knowledge. And an incredible price point compared to other potential fitters. We would absolutely use them again for any future work.

This company are up there,amoungst the bigger guns,my wife&i got a great carpet,for living room,and lino for hallway,and really chuffed with the quality,i cant stop walking over carpet in my bare feet,its so soft.a truly quality carpet,and not to forget the under lay,that was great quality as well.and the carpet fitters where,pleasant,quick,and very efficent indeed,they laid carpet to a perfect fit,i used to live in edinburgh and everytime i got a carpet put down there was always a issue,either badly laid or cut to fit in unessesary areas.well done east lothian carpets.

Popped into the shop to get a idea on carpets. Managed to get a time for measuring so went ahead chose the carpet I liked the most. Came to the day of measuring and Brian brought the samples out to make sure it was what I was after. Got my price and day for fitting. From the booking to measuring to price and the fitting the service I received was second to none. Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The fitters from East Coast Carpets did a fantastic job of my open staircase. Really made it a feature of my home! The price and quality of the carpet and underlay provided is excellent, as was the customer service from store staff. Myself and my wife moved house on 30th November 2023, and we were looking to have carpets fitted in the house. East Coast Carpets were recommended to us by a friend. From the moment we went into their shop in Tranent, Brian provided excellent service. We told him the budget we had and Brian recommended the Lazio carpet which we wanted in our Living Room, Stair, Hall and both bedrooms. Brian himself came to the house to measure up. The carpets were fitted on the Monday prior to us moving in and the 2 fitters carried out a fantastic job. We have also had our kitchen and bathroom measured up and picked the vinyl and early in 2024 we will be using East Coast Carpets to do this job as well. I will definitely recommend this company to any of my family and friends in the future.

I have recently moved home and I was looking for nice carpets in my new home. A friend of mine recommended East Coast Carpets so my wife and I went into their shop in Tranent. We found Brian to be extremely helpful and told him our budget range, the carpet Brian suggested was the Lazio which we really liked. Brian came to the house the following morning on time to measure up, and the carpets were laid in our living room, hall stair and main bedroom on Monday 27th November ahead of our moving in date on 30th November. The 2 guys who came out were very punctual, and really professional and they have carried out an amazing job. We are so happy with everything. Due to our budget we couldn't get flooring carried out in the whole house but we will be using East Coast to carpet the remaining bedroom and we will select flooring for our bathroom and kitchen as Brian measured up everything and all the sizes are on the system. Early in the new year I will get East Coast to cover the remaining rooms in our house and I will highly recommend them to other people

We had all carpets and vinyl in the house replaced. At every stage of the process every person we've spoken to has been completely professional. Costings for the entire work was very clear, no hidden costs at all, and a great deal. Everyone did exactly what they said they would and when they said they would do it. There was a minor issue with one of the carpets which was replaced quickly and easily with no arguments and at no additional cost. We could not be happier to recommend this company to others in future. And the house looks amazing!!!

East Coast Carpets recently carpeted a small flat for my mum. Erica was extremely helpful in choosing the carpet, Brian was on time and efficient in measuring (he’s been providing me with carpets for 30 years). Steven called day before to confirm fitting timings then called on the day before the team arrived, who were also extremely efficient. Couldn’t fault any aspect of the process and mum loves her choice. Wouldn’t go anywhere else.

My wife called them but they said they would have to call her back. They DID. They made arrangements to send an assessor out. He turned up when they said he would. They gave us a date and time for installation. A three man crew turned up when we were told they would. They were friendly, fast, and efficient. Some service! I would definitely recommend.

Highly rated service; easy to get hold of, quick to respond, flexible and accommodating and tried hard to give us best value for money. The team fitted the carpet today and were pleasant, tidy and super fast, leaving us with a very nice job. Can't fault them.

I honestly cannot thank this team enough! I just moved into a new flat around 3 weeks ago I have had an absolute night mare finding somewhere for carpets with it being this time of the year everyone is super busy! My auntie found east coast carpets for me , said they looked brilliant, first time I called the lady was lovely & reassured me not to worry that they could defiantly fit me in, I was very stressed as I thought I wouldn’t have carpets down for kids wakening up on Christmas morning or my daughters birthday which is Boxing Day! Brian came out a few days after measured up, even brought samples as I wasn’t able to visit the shops! Today I had David & Dan out fitting the new living room carpet, they have done an amazing job, didn’t take them long at all, I live quite high up so even them bringing the big carpet all the way up stairs would’ve been a task! I have been contemplating re-carpeting my house for some time but kept putting it off due to the amount of furniture I have and the thought of having to move it, to allow the old carpets to be uplifted and the new ones, laid.

However, I was told the workmen , from East Coast Carpets, who would lay the carpets would move furniture to allow the new underlay and carpet to be laid removing my concerns.

As a result, I ordered carpets/underlay at a very competitive price and kept my fingers crossed the men would complete the heavy work. I needn't have worried and they completed a great job, showing courtesy to me and respect to my property. They worked like trojans and the new carpets look great!

The minute I walked into the store with my partner Brian was very helpful in being realistic in help us choose a carpet that suited our budget. The quality of the product was very good as well. Payment process was seemless and no hidden charges. Every penny being spent was explained and clarified to us before spending by Lindsay. Once the date was wet for the carpet laying, Steven (father and son) were very quick at laying the carpet considering the areas of our house that they had to cover. For a small business in East Lothian, they made me feel like I was dealing with a really high end commercial company.

I ordered a Heather twist carpet for a small bedroom, landing and stair. The salesperson was extremely helpful. I arranged the fitting a week in advance. I didn't need to wait for the carpet to come into stock. The fitters were punctual, polite, straight to work. There was an issue with the landing carpet which was quickly resolved and fitted first thing the following morning. Good job. Neat finish. Very pleased.

Fantastic job again done by East Coast Carpets. When into Tranent shop Thursday lunchtime selected and paid for vinyl and it got fitted today. Guys who fitted it were professional and no mess was made and didnt leave till they checked i was happy with it.

I had Lino fitted in the kitchen to replace some badly fitted limo previously. I had problems trying to move my fridge freezer out, the guys that were fitting solved the problem for me, fitted the lino neatly, no air bubbles etc, very good job. Will use again

Over the past couple of years we have purchased carpets for three bedrooms, hall and stairs together with laminate flooring for the entrance hall. The quality of the flooring is fantastic. I had carpets fitted in my living room, bedroom and hall. Carpets are lovely and the initial customer service was good however the way my flat was left was not okay. Nails just left lying about. The cupboards in the hall where forgotten (simple mistake and was corrected) the cupboards that where done the carpet fitters had left a lot of glue sprayed up my freshly painted walls and skirtings, when asked to fix it they said they didn’t have the stuff in the van but would pop back at the end of the day - never did. There was a large lump in the carpet and when pulled back found 2 bits of wood with nails sticking out. Wouldn’t use again simply as the carpet fitters just didn’t take care/pride in the finished product.

Needed carpet fitted quickly for father's bedroom. Brian was very helpful and carpet was supplied and fitted within 4days. Very very happy with both quality of carpet and underlay. First class job regarding fitting and done very quickly at a very competitive price. Massive thanks to East Coast Carpets for their help and professionalism on all fronts. Quality of this service was amazing. The installing time was crazy quick and both employees were really friendly. Before both Kraft they asked to look at the carpet to make sure I was happy with it which I was.
The reason I have selected a 4 for customer service & reliability was due to not being able to close the bedroom door and it wasn’t until I did some online research to find out that I needed to get a piece from the bottom of the door removed which wasn’t passed onto me. When I called the shop they informed me that I should had been informed but they couldn’t get someone out to me the same day to do this where I then had to pay for an external joiner out with the company to attend same day.

Apart from this issue I would 100% use again and recommend to anyone wanting a fast service, fantastic carpet and friendly staff attending.

East Coast carpets supplied and fitted new carpets in our Living room and Hall at the beginning of June. Our experience, from choosing through to fitting was excellent all the way through and I thoroughly recommend them. A special mention for the fitters, Jamie and Ian, who did a superb job quickly and professionally.

With the aid of the Prestonpans shop we chose all our carpets and floor coverings for the whole house... the staff's knowledge and assistance were excellent and they were able to answer any questions we had re fitting and future cleaning/maintenance. The fitters, Jamie and Ian worked their socks off to get everything done to the time schedule we had and their work couldn't be faulted.... and they even had a smile. Hats off to them! We were surprised as the prices were much lower than we had expected having used another well know carpet provider for many years. Glad we went local this time ! Went to east coast carpets initially to buy laminate flooring. Was shown Goliath thick cushioned lino. Tried this instead of the flooring. As we had water damage twice in the past this lino would solve the problem without having to renew the whole kitchen as we would just have roll back the lino and when everything had dried out roll the lino back in place. Lino fitted in no time and guys did an great job. Would use again and recommend.

Wanted laminate flooring after having to replace after it twice in 3 years. Was suggested to look at goliath padded lino floor covering if we got flooded again it would be easier to roll back floor covering to let everything dry out and put it back again. Cheaper and easier option. The guys did the job in no time and it looks great. Would certainly recommend.

I have used East Coast Carpets previously. good choice of carpets, and under felt. Experienced advice regarding best choice for each floor type, etc. Family company also local in East Lothian.

Both currently, and previously, good quality carpet and under-felt, the fitting excellent good fitter, I would recommend this company.

The only slight improvement would be to ensure clear communication with customer if any changes in dates etc. take place. Likewise, during Covid.19 restrictions, co-operation with other trades as regarding keys where empty property.

Would highly recommend, reasonable price for quality of carpets, under-felt, and fitting.

Contacted on the Wednesday, measured on Friday and fitted 2 hours later!! Due to new covid restrictions the carpets had to be fitted before Saturday the 16th Jan.

One of our clients required new kitchen flooring. Once it was ordered the team at East Coast Carpets updated me, contacting me to make arrangement for a suitable date and time for fitting. They were very flexible with fitting dates to ensure I could be there to support our client. The clients floor required some levelling off before the flooring could be laid. Chris the fitter organised this at short notice without any hesitation! I was kept updated at each stage of the process. The new flooring was fitted quickly and our client was delighted with the end result! Once Chris was finished, he cleared away everything ensuring it was safe for our client. Over all very satisfied with the service and quality.

Carpet fitted. Absolutely delighted with service. Original carpet unavailable east coast carpets offered alternatives and had them looked out ready for me to choose. Delivery on time and fitting went without a hitch. Thoroughly recommend.

I ordered a stair carpet from East Coast Carpets, initially salesman Steven, very helpful. We were quoted for the new carpet, underlay and 3 threshold bars. We were told they didnt quote separately for the items, and as we wanted these items, we went ahead and arranged a fitting date. We also arranged for the old carpet to be removed and disposed of at an extra cost. The date arrived, a carpet fitter attended, given covid status, had no face covering, no plastic overshoes and no gloves on. The job was not completed on the agreed date as carpet fitter didn't have the right tools to finish the job. First failure. Second time they came back There was 3 of them in my house, no face covering, no plastic overshoes or gloves. They fitted a new carpet over old underlay,leaving the old carpet lying in my hall, but, surprisingly took the new underlay away. On contacting the shop, and speaking to Steven, I was met by exscuse after exscuse, in fact his after care attitude was uncaring and couldn't care less. The third time they came to my house after several phone calls, a visit to the carpet shop and 3 days later, the carpet was fitted and all with new underlay. I still do not have the threshhold bars, which I paid for and No apology for the poor service or inconvenience. NOT TO BE TRUSTED TRADERS.

Just had Stair Carpet supplied and fitted from East Coast Carpets. First Class customer service again from Steven, Brian & Carpet Fitters. Excellent fitting done throughout and especially on our open and wrap around stairs which were finished to a very high standard. Thank you lads from a very happy customer.

East Coast Carpets replaced our front room and dining room carpets and our lino in the kitchen.

Fantastic price, excellent advice on what carpets to buy and the fitting was done extremely quickly, neatly and to a high quality.

The floor coverings themselves are lovely and fitting and underlay were included.

We have 2 more rooms to do and will definitely be using East Coast Carpets again.

I purchased a hall, stair and landing carpet. (I have bought all the carpets in my home from this shop) Called the store and Steve arranged an appointment for us to visit the same day. He then arranged for the carpet to be fitted the following day. This was beyond my expectations but I was delighted!. The carpet fitters are polite , efficient and get the job done in no time at all. I am delighted with the service and professionalism of the shop. I would (and have) highly recommend the shop Steve makes buying a carpet very easy and knows his stock.Would not go anywhere else .

I was having a crisis after being let down by another carpet company a day before getting the keys to my new home. I went along to East Coast and within an hour they had went along to my home and taken precise measurements, given me a quote for the type of carpets/vinyl I was after and booked me in for free fitting in a days time. All carpets and lino purchased from Steven Thompson at East Coast Carpets following a visit to his shop in Hawthorn Road Prestonpans. His advice and guidance pre-purchase was extremely helpful and as a result we placed an order.
His carpet fitters arrived on schedule throughout and completed the work in an excellent manner. The quality of work was first class. The fitters were very professional throughout.

East Coast Carpets supplied and fitted new flooring throughout our whole house - a mixture of carpet, LVT and lino, and each has been fitted to a very high standard. Stevie in the Prestonpans shop could not have been more helpful and patient, talking me through the different options and colours and i felt that the price was very reasonable for the quality of products. The fitting team were very friendly and always turned up on time. All together a very positive experience.

Very helpful proprietor, gave good advice. Value for money very good, cannot give 5 stars only because I did not get any other quotes, but I strongly suspect the price was very competitive. Was able to arrange fitting quickly with all going exactly to plan. The fitters were quick and excellent. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Brian and his team at the Tranent branch were excellent. We used them to carpet our new build 3 bed home. Excellent service and real value for money. After sales service could not be faulted. Carpets are excellent and Brian’s advice on what to go for and where in terms of wear etc was really helpful. Would use this company again.
