We had been recommended Andy by another tradesman after struggling to find a good tiler. He visited promptly to look at the job, got back to me quickly with a quote and I was pleasantly surprised with the labour charges. I showed Andy the tiles I wanted. He contacted the supplier and added everything he’d need to a ‘shopping list’ that I just phoned up to pay. I definitely prefer this option as I then know I’m genuinely paying for my own materials and the cost of each item. Andy arranged the collection of all the supplies and started the job on the agreed date, keeping me up to date with pictures and a description of what was what. The end result is absolute perfection! I will definitely be using Andy for our next tiling project and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to friends and family. Thanks again.

After undergoing a complete bathroom makeover Andrew tiled the entire bathroom as well as installing underfloor heating. His knowledge, advice and attention to detail was second to none. Absolutely delighted with the result. First class workmanship, highly recommend.

Really pleased with the work done by Drew - love my new bathroom and the tiling he did. Drew was friendly, tidy, punctual and I can’t fault the tiling work. He has great communication and I appreciated him always keeping me updated on when he’d be round. He gave advice on trim and grout colouring too which I’m grateful for. I can’t comment on the price as I didn’t compare his to anyone else’s, but I’m really happy with the finished job and would definitely recommend.

We had bathroom tiled. The work was first class and they always turned up when they said plus always very tidy. Well Done Drew & Dougie.

A small tiling job was required. Although the job was so small, it was done promptly and willingly, and, as far as I can tell, very cleanly, professionally and effectively.

Andy helped with floor tiles in our bathroom which included underfloor heating.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Andy to carry out any work. Work was completed to a high standard and bathroom area was left clean each day. What was very helpful was the regular ongoing communication of what was happening and when and the plan for the work.

First class workmanship and professional attitude and timekeeping. Drew has done 2 complete bathrooms for us over last 6 months. Same immaculate finish in both. Unlike some people, Drew offered helpful suggestions for our particular setups. Hoping he’s free for a third job (shower room) in a couple of months’ time. No need to look elsewhere for your tiler.

Drew done a fantastic job tiling our bathroom. He was professional and communicated well throughout the project, his knowledge and attention to detail is second to none. He always left the work area very clean and tidy, we have had a few different tilers over the years but thankfully we were recommended Drew. If you're looking for a tiler in Edinburgh and surrounding areas you will be hard pushed to find one better in my opinion.

I think Drew has done around 4-5 jobs for us over the years, his work is A1. You really notice the poor work in other people's bathrooms once Andrew has done yours. Everything is arrow straight, completely symmetrical with identical gaps etc. A master tiler.

Drew is an excellent tiler and nothing is too difficult for him. Lovely guy who’s very reliable and the results speak for themselves. Wouldn’t use anyone else. Highly recommended.

Kitchen floor tiles - excellent service would definitely use Andy again!

We had one wall of our bathroom retiled. The wall was in very poor condition. The wall preparation took as long as the tiling and looked great before the tiles went on. The tiling is very neat and looks really good. Sounds very solid when tapped unlike the old tiling that sounded hollow. Communication with Drew was great, he told us when he could come and was there when he said he would be. Very pleased with the job.

Andrew promptly responded to my enquiry back in March, just before the lockdown. He came to the house and explained what he could do then everything was put on hold until recently when we were able to get the work done. We wanted to have our bathroom floor tiled and Andrew and his team did a magnificent job, arrived on time and completed the work within the timescale set. We are extremely please and I would have no hesitation in recommending Andrew and hopefully will be able to contact him for tiling when we can get a new kitchen.

Just had our Bathroom converted into a large shower room, taking out the bath. The tiling work by Drew was exceptional great preparation waterproofing the walls, levelling the floor. The application of the tiles was first class, great advice on all aspects of job. Very knowledgeable would use him again. Recommended tradesman.

Andrew tiled 3 bathrooms in our new home, over the course of a week. Excellent service from start to finish, and very happy with the quality of the work. Will definitely use again if we need more tiling done.

Andy was great from initial contact to completion of the work. We had our hallway floor tiled and it has transformed our house. Andy turned up on time (actually came a few days early as he had a gap in his diary to do some groundwork) did an excellent job and left absolutely no mess behind at the end of the day. Andy was immediately friendly and professional, making it clear exactly what the job would entail from the very beginning. He was happy to accommodate our requirements and questions and he seemed to go above and beyond to make sure the work was completed to an excellent standard, even taking into account sight lines in the tiling layout. By all accounts, the tiles we used were not straight forward, but we are really happy with the end result.

I have a bathroom and separate toilet room which I wanted the floors and walls tiled. Andy suggested completing the works in two stages to minimise disruption which worked out perfectly. Andy took the time to make sure the hallway floor was protected before undertaking the work and he left the place clean and tidy after each day working.

Overall, I was very impressed with Andy’s professionalism. Andy was quick to respond to my enquiry; he provided a competitive quote; he kept me informed throughout; he always arrived on time; he provided options and solutions; and he completed the works to a high standard within the time frame required. Tiled the bathroom, good finish.

We can not recommend Andy enough. He did the most amazing job of tiling our Kitchen, dining room, living room and hall. All in porcelain tiles with under floor heating. The finished result is beautiful and immaculate. I was worried about the expansion joints being obvious but they are so discreet unless you know they are there you wouldn’t notice.

Drew from Apex Tiling came in to tile our bathroom and install underfloor heating. His attention to detail to make sure the work was done to the highest standard was excellent. He did not want to cut corners, instead making sure the work was done right took priority. He also kept to time and also managed to fit in an extra job in another ensuite in our house which was greatly appreciated!

Re-sealing bath and shower

Andrew turned up on the day and time he said, both for the quote and job. The tiling has been done to a very high standard. He gave me advice on grout colour and when it came to the silicon, he went back out and made a special trip to get the exact colour match for the grout. Because of this attention to detail and the fact the silicon has been done to a very high standard, to match the tiling, I have been left with very professional finish. Would recommend.

We have used Apex for 2 jobs recently. Drew met us as and when agreed, quoted quickly and turned up when he said he would to carry out the work. He explained what he proposed to solve a leaking shower and to repair and renew tiling falling off the wall. Although we couldn't get an exact match of tiles for one job, Drew did his best to get as near as possible a match. Both jobs were done quickly and effectively and the tiling looks brand new. Drew worked making minimum mess and cleared up very well when finished. I would be happy to recommend him for work and will certainly use him again
