Abbey Tiling

Jamie fitted our new underfloor heating and floor tiling to our kitchen after a new kitchen had been fitted. Having it done after the kitchen was already fitted made it a tricker job but was no issue for Jamie.

Our biggest compliment for Jamie is his level of communication! This has been amazing throughout the entire service

Abbey tiling did a fantastic job stripping out and fitting my new kitchen. This is the second time I have used them, the first time was for a bathroom fit out 5 years ago and the bathroom still looks brand new. Jamie’s communication throughout the job was second to none. I could not recommend them highly enough.

Re-laying tiles on bathroom floor and some minor tidying up of grouting and silicone. Jamie, whom I found very friendly and easy to deal with, responded to my initial enquiry right away and came to see what I needed. He gave me some very helpful advice and I asked him to undertake the work. I had to wait some time to get to the top of his"to do" list (I regard this as a good sign) but it was well worth it. An excellent job done without any fuss and everything left clean and tidy. Highly recomended.

Jamie was brilliant throughout, kept us well informed and gave great advice.
We stay in a tenement flat, which has thrown up many surprises, but Jamie is very knowledgeable about this type of flat and has helped fix all the previous water damage and I now feel really secure that everything that needed fixed has been done well and the bathroom is now my favourite room.
We have now book Abbey tiling to do the rest of our flat, and am now very confident that it will be done to the same high standard.

Had two rooms tiled and a utility fitted in an old property with lots of challenged (thick walls, uneven floors, lots of bad DIY from previous owners, tricky spaces and appliances to work around). Jamie was able to easily find solutions to these problems and was flexible with the initial plan to ensure the best outcome was achieved. The quality of work was extremely high, Jamie organised all the additional work needed for us (e.g. plumbers/plasterers), his prices were very fair and he was trustworthy. Next time we need any work done we’ll definitely be back in touch!

Jamie recently tiled a kitchen, utility room and cloakroom. He also applied silicon in a bathroom and ensuite which had been overlooked by another contractor.

Used Abbey Tiling for tiling our kitchen and utility as we'd used him before. Excellent quality work and would definitely recommend if you are having any complicated work done. He's very busy though (a sign of the quality of his work).

Jamie has just completed 2 full bath/shower room refits for us. We have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone wanting quality work undertaken. From start to finish Jamie helped us make better use of the space in the bathrooms and advised us about what might be good choices for all of the fixtures and fittings. When there were a couple of delays, he explained clearly what had caused them and made every effort to get things back on track in the shortest possible time. Always good with updates and letting us know which trades to expect on what days. We’ve always bought new build houses off plan, so to be in a place which needed work is new territory for us and Jamie’s help and excellent work has made it much easier than we expected. No doubt when we’ve saved up for the next phase of work, we’ll be asking him to come back.

We needed to replace the tiled floor in the kitchen which had been damaged as a result of a water leak and general wear and tear over the last 20 years. Jamie came and advised what we needed to do , organised everything and all additional trades required , pointed us at the different tile options and arrived when he said he would .
When he lifted the old tiles there was more damage than we initially thought , however this was no barrier and was quickly resolved . The job was completed quickly and to an excellent standard.

Jamie has completed a couple of jobs for me. Initially I got in contact to enquire about tiles for my livingroom floor. Jamie promptly came to measure up and discuss what my needs were. He recommended a tile which would meet my expectations and was always at the end of the phone for any questions I had. He also put me in contact with another tradesman who could fit my door bars. The job is outstanding and I'm really pleased, not only with my tiles but with Jamie's work and communications from start to finish. I then approached Jamie to complete some work for my new salon. Again, Jamie came to check out what was needed and provided a quote. I needed other trades, which Jamie organised and set a date to complete the work. The guys did brilliant and the end result is amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to use Jamie for any work I needed in the future. He is a hard working and delivers what he says he will do. 5 stars. Complete bathroom refit. Everything ripped out, new ceiling, walls replastered, new plumbing, electrics, tiling and door work. Got rid of bath and replaced with shower only. Jamie designed our smallish room to maximise the space available and make it look bigger including advice on type and colour of tiles, shower design, sink, toilet and cupboards to give appearance of light and space. It looks amazing compared to what we had. Jamie and all the tradesmen he uses are very experienced pros, punctual and meticulously tidy. Great workmanship and advice no matter how big or small your job is.

Jamie and his team from Abbey Tiling provided a first class tiling and plastering job in my tenement flat in Edinburgh. Jamie gutted my bathroom of old tiles and of an old unused water tank. This involved quite a bit of work, which was dealt with excellently by Jamie and his team. I was particularly impressed by how well run and clean the job was from start to finish given the amount of dust and debris. In the end, the tiling was finished to an incredibly high standard and the plastering work was outstanding. Highly recommended.

Jamie was very responsive and was able to flex his diary when the tiles we ordered got delayed. Any issues with missing or broken parts he dealt quickly with the supplier. Very happy with our two new bathrooms.

Jamie from Abbey Tiling retiled our kitchen floor which involved firstly removing the badly laid original slate floor. Jamie was friendly, reliable and flexible and did a great job very very happy with the finished floor and would highly recommend him.

Had our downstairs toilet completely refitted. Although our start date was pushed back due to illness and the refit took longer than we anticipated , Jamie kept us informed at all times about what was happening and who would be coming on what days. Really pleased with end result and would recommend to friends and family.

Bathroom refitted. There was a leak under the floor tiles which was sorted efficiently. Jamie provided an excellent service. His workmen were all punctual and courteous. The workmanship was good and the place was left tidy and clean. I would certainly recommend Jamie to anyone.

We first had Jamie refit our kitchen, when we moved to Edinburgh & didn't know any workmen. We subsequently had him refit our bathroom and then, a few years later, our ensuite. On each occasion we found him to be reasonable, reliable and were very happy with the standard of work he did.
