Edinburgh down pipe restoration, repair and paintingEdinburgh based New Town Rope Access is a rope access company primarily focused on building maintenance in domestic properties with limited access, where traditional solutions such as scaffolding are not practical or cost efficient.
This job required downpipe repair and restoration. Even with the difficult weather conditions we were able to complete the works on time and in a safe and professional manor.

Our latest Edinburgh project saw us painting a total of 8 downpipes and 6 flues on a Georgian building in Edinburgh's New Town. We also repaired a number of holes that we found whilst prepping the pipes.
We had previously carried out property maintenance here, restoring a number of the windows to various flats and the communal stair to this building last year, so it was a privilege to be asked to carry out the remainder of the external works.
With no access to the rear of this property rope access was the only means by which this work could be done.

We had Matt and his team to do external and internal painting on our churh tower windows. They were very professional and helpful giving advice on the best way to get the work done and were very aware of health and safety issues.
They gave a competetive quote and the work was carried on time and to a very high standard. I would certainly use them again.

Matt and his team repaired the roof on our new town property. The guys were first class in every department. Reliable from start to finish, turned up as arranged, got stuck into the job and completed everything on time.
The price of the job was also super competitive when compared to scaffolding. If you have roof works I'd recommend giving these guys a call. Without a doubt the best contract team I've used in years.

The guys cleaned the gutters and checked the roof / downpipes etc. I found them very knowledgable and friendly. With the rope access they were able to get a good close up view of all the roof which can otherwise be difficult to do.

Replacement of damaged sections in rain water down pipe and cleaning of gutters.
Matt and his team completed the work as agreed and charged me the cost quoted. By replacing only the corroded sections, I saved the cost of a full stack replacement. A reliable, hassle free service despite the fact we never actually met - all communication was by email or phone. I will use again if I ever need to. Thanks.

I live in a tenement flat and we needed (shared) repairs to the downpipes and roof. Among the flat owners, we decided to do all the downpipe repairs and the first phase of the roof repairs (with the non-urgent items to be done at some subsequent date).
Matt arrived exactly on time and promptly produced his quotes, accompanied by detailed photographs. His quotes included all downpipe work and all urgent roof work - exactly meeting our specification. His price was very competitive, compared to all other firms that we contacted. We asked to change various items and Matt readily amended his quotes as requested.
The NTRA rope access team turned up exactly as scheduled and completed all the specified work in good time. Matt produced "before and after" photographs showing all the completed work on the roof and downpipes. We asked for some minor changes (eg. cable positions) and Matt arranged for these changes to be made quickly and at no extra cost.
Overall, the service from NTRA was excellent and the work was great value.
