Roof repairs. Shearer’s were professional and timely in everything they did. They gave time scales and came when they said and were courteous throughout. Other roof companies did not respond to my call or did not submit an estimate. Shearer’s were easy to deal with and I have already asked them to do the long term maintenance on the roof. I have already recommended them to friends.

We needed a special Velux for a roof with low pitch. The window itself was expensive which is why it’s not necessarily value for money but it is what was required and what we wanted. As usual the whole job was done with professionalism, expertise and efficiency on the appointed date. We previously had our slate roof renewed by Shearer’s and have complete confidence in their full team and in the quality of their work.

The work was started and completed well within the time I asked. Everything seemed extremely well organised, no timewasting at all. The workers were always friendly and helpful,both with information and with several extra jobs I asked for. Finally everything was carefully cleared away.
I'd originally aimed to get it done more cheaply,but the results,and the whole experience,suggest you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend Shearers.

REPAIR OF BAD LEAK IN TILED ROOF. VERY ACCOMODATING AND FITTED MY JOB IN. NO FUSS.

We had a new gutter fitted and a few roof tiles replaced. We were very pleased with the friendly and professional service.

We required the replacement of lead work and facia boards on the canopy above a bay window. We had to wait a couple of months for the work to be undertaken as they were so busy (which I think is a good sign!), but it was well worth the wait. We are really pleased with the work completed: the team were extremely efficient, tidy and very pleasant to deal with. I certainly would not hesitate recommending to others.

We had ridge tiles replaced. The cost was competitive and fitted by friendly, tidy and reliable staff. The work was co-ordinated very efficiently and effectively by head office. Overall we are very happy with the quality of the work undertaken.

Professional service from a company who take pride in their work. J Shearer re-roofed our house in 8 days as they said they would. Cleaned up on leaving and offered reassurances all the way through the process. There is always someone on hand to talk to in the office if required.
Wish I had used them from day 1 having wasted money on a rogue roofer previously. I have recommended J Shearer to 3 people since they worked on my property. You may have to wait patiently for your appointment with them but that is because they are busy - and busy for a reason. Would not hesitate to use them again.

We had very complex building works completed which involved installation of new supporting beams in the back part of the house new kitchen ceiling and new bathroom flooring plus installation of a new rear French style door to the rear of the property.

J Shearer Roofing Ltd. replaced my gutters and some missing slates on my roof. I was very impressed with the company from the point of first contact right through to the completion of the work. The office manager was very helpful in the co-ordination of the work, including liaising with the company who erected the scaffolding. I would most definitely recommend this company.

We have used Shearer's for some years now to keep our roof sound. They are not the cheapest out there however they do the job well using materials which fit with the rest of the building. Would recommend.

We had our roof replaced which involved; new slate, installation of front and back gutter, renewal of wooden facings to front, installation of a small velux, lead work and wrapping of coping stones. The team of roofers worked extremely hard to complete the job within the required timescale despite some rainy days. The team was well organised with colleagues delivering materials and disposing of waste enabling the team on the roof to continue working. The supervisor visited frequently and kept us up to date with progress. It was also very convenient to have the office to phone for updates / arrangements in advance of the job starting; there was always someone at the end of the phone. When the scaffolding blocked the sky signal to our elderly neighbour (who was isolated due to Covid restrictions) the office arranged an aerial tradesman that day to solve the issue. We are very happy with the finish and would definitely use again and recommend to others.
