had to get a new velux window fitted gave me several options available to me what i liked was there was no PRESSURE put on me very knowledgeable person intially i saw the fitters were effeincent TIDY and pleasant the work was not completed in the day but true to his WORD was out the next morn to complete 100 % HAPPY☺

Had Shearers completely replace the large roof, lead work, gutters, soffit and skylight. From the first assessment of the roof the whole process was well and efficiently managed. Everybody, from the member of staff in the office to the tradesmen were friendly and approachable. The workmanship was excellent, and there have been no problems with it. Many people have made positive comments about the roof. I would readily recommend them again.

I needed some repairs on the roughcasting above a second floor window. The company arrived exactly as promised to look at the job and provide a quote. The work was then done according to schedule and so far there have been no recurring problems with the roughcasting. Throughout the whole process the office kept in touch to update me on dates and times and never missed an appointment. A very professional service.

Shearer’s have carried out two roof repairs for us. They accurately identified the problem and the solution promptly ( which other roofers had failed to do ). The estimate process was clear both in respect of cost and of the work which would be carried out. They arrived at the agreed time and date and did an excellent job.
All employees we dealt with, both office staff and roofers, were helpful and courteous.

Mortar on the top of the roof was repaired. It’s a same day job completed tidy and nice. A report with photos and description was issued for further reference. Definitely recommended team.

J Shearer Roofing were contacted regarding installing a velux window to afford more light into our kitchen. The work was explained to us and a start date was organised. Scaffolding was also organised and erected at the beginning of the work and removed when the work was completed. The workmen involved were professional in all aspects of their work. The workspace was cleaned up at the end of each working day.
Skill level was high and workmanship was excellent and explained to us each day. When the work was completed the area was efficiently cleaned and returned to normal.

Replacement of felt covering to 3 garages. Work completed satisfactory and on quoted time, although I thought it was expensive.

The edges of the roofs were re-leaded and coping was covered in lead sleeve.
The surveyor who came out was excellent. Not pushy and followed the brief of inspecting the roof and giving it a MOT and advising what he reckoned needed done.
Difficult to know if value for money but I do know that after the work was done, I had a good feeling that the work had been done professionally and neatly.
I think we have escaped the situation of ‘buy cheap, buy twice!’

I had a problem with rainwater ingress and dampness at the rear of my property. J. Shearer Roofing Ltd. inspected the house and identified the cause.
They raised and replaced roof tiles, realigned the gutter, removed defective roughcast and rendered the rear wall. Result - no more dampness or leaks.

J. Shearer Roofing Ltd. provided me with what I considered a reasonable quote for the work to be undertaken. They completed the work to a high standard within the timescale agreed and the workmen were courteous and efficient. I would use the company again and am happy to recommend them as a trusted trader.
