Re- roofing of front and back slopes on my 1946 semi detached house.
Although I had to wait two/three months for a construction slot, I felt that a company with a healthy order book must have earned a justifiable reputation.
My experience from day one, when I spoke with the office staff, was one of complete confidence by their efficient and polite manner.
Following a roof inspection they discussed fully the new specification for my agreement prior to commencement.
Works on site took just over one week and was supervised daily by their Contracts Manager who met with me to discuss progress.
A very good experience plus guarantees on work and materials.

Staff turned up on time well presented with company uniforms , carried out the work efficiently and safely , leaving the site clean and tidy .

J Shearer roofing did an excellent job of repairs to my household roof and garage. Throughout the process the customer service and the level of workmanship and communication was excellent. I'd recommend J Shearer Roofing for the excellent communication from arranging an inspection to scheduling the work, with a follow-up call to check all's well with the job. We've used them a couple of times now, and have been satisfied with the work carried out on both occasions, and would seek a quote from them for further work again.

Renew two skylights in the roof.

The workers were polite, considerate and knowledgeable of the work in hand.
They kept me informed at every stage and when finished you would have known they had been.

Repointing done to our house. Delighted with service and quality of work. Very polite and efficient workers. Cleared the site every evening and at the end of the job. Company manager inspected the work to ensure quality. Were kept up to date by the company through entire process.

Roofing MOT. Some broken tiles replaced , moss removed , some lead work replaced , gutters cleared and chimney mastic renewed.
Reliable and attentive , did what they said they would. When we had an issue with the project we wanted resolved they attended promptly and fixed the problem quickly.

Reroofing of our house. We were delighted with all aspects of the work completed. Everything that they said would be done was in fact completed. The quality of the workmanship and constant supervision and office contact was excellent.

Identified problems and solutions, gave realistic work date and carried out work, with scaffolding etc., efficiently. Staff were always pleasant and helpful.

Had GRP flat roof repaired and lead re-set. Very professional and friendly service from surveyor, office staff and and workman. Seemed a bit pricey, but has so far proved to be worth the money.

Water coming into house through Velux/skylight window. On inspection it was found that the cause was an accumulation of leaves, moss etc had blocked the frame. J Shearer team removed this in both of our skylights and cleared our gutters too. Having used this company before when we got our new roof we did not hesitate to contact them again.

Having endured the consequences of getting cheap roofing work done in the past, I was glad to appoint J. Shearer Roofing for some repair work.

They might cost more than local competitors, but you are paying for quality workmanship, reliability and attention to detail, which is ultimately cheaper in the long run.

I would definitely use them again in the future, even if this meant waiting for a while.

I probably could have got the work done cheaper but having used Shearers in the past I felt that they would provide a job that would be completed to my satisfaction rather than a shoddy job. From initial contact through to completion the work was done effectively and efficiently. The roof was inspected, slates replaced and roof vents made into the loft.
