Full bathroom refurbishment and new boiler

Donald was recommended to us when we were looking for someone to do a full bathroom refurbishment. We didn't know where to start because the old bathroom needed a lot of work and had been badly damaged by a previous leak. The bath also had to be replaced with an accessible shower for someone who can no longer use a bath. At our first meeting Donald talked us through various options and explained what was possible in the space we had. He also gave us a lot of options and ideas for decor. When it came to quoting Donald's quote was competitive and clear. The Akwaplumb team did a full bathroom refurbishment fitting a contemporary shower unit with enclosure, sink, cabinet, led mirror and heated radiator, wet wall panelling and new flooring. The team (Jordan and Roy) arrived promptly, worked quickly and efficiently and always cleaned and tidied up. The bathroom has been completely transformed and looks very modern and contemporary. Fabulous job.

Akwaplumb also fitted a new boiler. This was an emergency job as the previous boiler gave up completely about 2 weeks before Christmas. Even though I know he was really busy Donald rearranged things to get someone out to us quickly. He was always very easy to deal with, clear about what needed to be done and how long it would take. Very thorough and always available if you had any questions. I would definitely recommend Donald and Akwaplumb and definitely work with them again.

We have used Akwaplumb for more than 20 years and always received an excellent reliable service. Donald provides well-informed advice and his workers are efficient, work to a high standard and leave the house clean and tidy. They have upgraded our central heating system, installed 2 gas boilers and provide the annual boiler maintenance service. Akwaplumb have also refurbished our 2 bathrooms, including the installation of showers and a bath. Donald has always responded promptly to an emergency call-out.

Akwaplumb assists us with plumbing, so primarily bathroom and kitchen (e.g. replacing taps). Usually I can send a Whatsapp video of the issue, and then we can agree who will order any parts and we can agree what the work will entail and cost, as well as a time Akwaplumb will arrive. They turn up when they say they will turn up. This is efficient as my wife and I both are working. We feel the pricing is reasonable and fair, and we were grateful recently when there was a slight leak in the bathroom that Akwapumb came out quickly to assist us.

I contacted Akwaplumb last year with a view to renewing our en-suite shower room. The works consisted of a complete new shower unit with basin and enclosure, a WC, a sink with cabinet, an LED mirror above the wash basin and a heated towel rail. The old fittings were removed and disposed of by Akwaplumb.
From the first contact I had with Donald the service was first class. He visited the house, made recommendations and picked up the relevant measurements for installation. We scheduled a start date and the 2 installers arrived on the day agreed. They were professional and courteous and carried out the work to a high standard. On completion the shower room was left in a clean and tidy condition. My partner and I are absolutely delighted with the outcome and would have no hesitation in using Akwaplumb again or recommending them to family and friends.

They have carried out major refurbishments of en suite bathrooms in our rented out flats in the Bearsden area and, perhaps more significantly, major reorganisation of our own central heating and water systems in our own house in Milngavie.

Have used this company for 10 plus years. Everything from gas servicing, shower replacement, replacing taps, boiler maintenance, general building, total kitchen replacement.
Always arrives quickly and job done efficiently. Workers always leave the place clean.
