The work involved installation of a Zappi electric car charger in an old outbuilding used as a garage. John made me aware at an initial visit that this wasn't a straightforward installation due to the existing wiring from the house to the garage but this was overcome and a neat and efficient installation was the result - carried out on time and to his quote. Very happy with everything.

We approached John to install a EV wall charger on our garage . He was very easy to deal with on the phone and by email ,the quotation we got was competitive and detailed and he answered all of our questions quickly and clearly. On the day Darren arrived exactly on time and worked flat out to complete the job in the afternoon (despite being held up for 90 minutes,waiting for CEF to deliver SWA cable to replace a damaged drum). Darrens work was first class ,meticulous ,well thought through ,safe and tidy . Couldn't ask for anything more .
Would recommend this company for all domstic electrical work.
It was only in conversation that we learned Darren and John's team had wired up our neighbours new house build a few years ago and they have often raved about the quality of workmanship , so we found and used the same company by chance , but have come to the same opinion .

Installation of a Home Charger for an electric car. My first venture into electric cars and home chargers. From quote for the work to installation I was fully advised of each step and offered any assistance I needed, including links to the grants available to me. Installation was completed at the date and time agreed by a very helpful electrician. On completion of the work the electrician guided me through the paperwork and the set up and use of the charger clearly answering any questions I had.
I would have no hesitation in recommending John McIntosh Electrical Ltd to anyone thinking of installing a home charger, in fact I have already highly recommended them and passed their contact details to the car dealership I bought my car from. Excellent from start to finish.

Variety of work done including fire alarms fitted to meet new regulations, new lights in kitchen and bathroom fitted and new electrical box installed. Robbie, the electrician from John’s company, arrived at 8.00am on the dot, was very organised and very polite. He worked quickly and quietly answering any questions asked of him. We’ve used John’s company for work before and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again.

Had fire alarms replaced etc in accordance with the new regulations. Also got 4 down lights fitted and an outdoor socket replaced. Work was carried out quickly and professionally to a high standard. Great communication and great value for money.
