We moved into a large very dated Edwardian-era semi detached home that had an overly complicated, ancient hot water setup meaning we couldn't get any reliable hot water around the house. Alasdair visited to assess the job requirements, worked out a plan on the spot and provided an estimate during the same visit. He was friendly, approachable and answered all questions prior to work starting which gave me so much confidence and understanding of what we were getting done. I'm an anxious person but Alasdair put me at complete ease that he could help us with our problem. We had a new 250L unvented indirect hot water cylinder fitted at the boiler and connected to the mains supply, an expansion vessel and safety valve fitted, the old water tanks in the attic were disconnected capped off and drained, the new cylinder was connected to the central heating and all unrequired pipework and old water cylinders were taken away. We also had a Mira deck mixer thermostatic shower fitted over our bath - something we could not get done prior to the water cylinder being fixed, so this was the cherry on the cake!!

Alasdair kept me notified throughout the whole process, finished the work on time and left my home just as tidy as before work started. He even boarded over a hole in the ceiling where an old water cylinder was removed!

I can't speak highly enough about my experience with A.C.Sharp Heating and Alasdair is the only plumber I'll have back to my home for anything in the future.

Alasdair replaced a radiator and did a few other small bits and pieces with no fuss, and all completed to a very high standard. I was workimg from home, and barely even heard him as he worked.

He also left the bathroom in exactly the same state, if not cleaner than it was to start with.

I'll definitely call again if anything similar needs done.

Upgraded our 1970s central heating system with a new gas boiler, radiators and extensive pipework. This was a tricky period property job and Alisdair did amazing job including removing the old boiler and radiators to allow us to repair the the walls, before returning to install the new boiler, re-routing the gas supply and installing pipework without disturbing existing flooring. Alasdair provides an exceptional standard of work and was always happy to talk through the job before and during the work.

Alasdair serviced our boiler and repaired a condensate pipe. He also fitted a shower mixer tap and associated work. He is very professional and pleasant and takes great care, including hoovering up the dust afterwards. That's a big plus in my book!
